Cashew started drawing on the paper again. He drew another stick figure woman and wrote next to her "+ Light Brown hair, Pale skin, short, (Too dark to guess exact height) wearing ragged brown shirt with no sleeves (Sleeves ripped off?), either had no pants on or they were ripped up to her thighs, Her right cheek was badly bruised, (or coated in mud?)"
After Cashew finished writing down everything re remembered about the woman,he handed it back to Simon, who looked at it.
Simon: I think the kid is lying. This is too specific to be true. How could he know this information in a dark ca-!
Cashew cut Simon off by launching a Water Ball at his face again, not enjoying being called a liar.
Simon blew more water out of his nose and rubbed his eyes.
Simon: Ok, kid, it was funny the first time, but if you're gonna keep doing that, it's gonna get real annoying.
Simon stated to Cashew in an annoyed tone, struggling to get some of the water out of his nose.
Simon: As I was saying before I got so rudely cut off, Regardless of whether or not the kid is telling the truth, I think this could be fun. Send the new guy after a princess in a cave full of Goblins and see what happens.
Tarhil: Won't this be something like the 9th Hazing ritual you've sent Yolun on?
Simon: and we won't stop!
Tarhil sighed at Simons words, and Simon rushed off to the other knights, Shooing a really short knight away before huddling the others around him. The really short knight wasn't short at all, probably a good 50-60 centimeters taller than Eric, but compared to the other knights, he was rather short, he also looked really young, early-mid 20s while all the other knights looked in their late 50's, early 60's. He had piercing grey eyes and pitch black short hair, aside from his eyes and his height, he looks like a generic protagonist from a crappy Japanese Isekai Anime.
Cashew losing interest in looking at him and feeling like he did what he could for the woman in the cave, he decided to try and sneak off to practice his magic elsewhere, Tarhil knows he can use Magic already, as he used magic on Simon, so he doesn't need to hide it from him, but Cashew wants to be difficult.
Cashew got up and bolted to the other side of the house, well... He tried to, but Tarhil used his reach and caught Cashew, picking him up and holding him like a normal person would hold a cup of water.
Cashew: Eh?...
Cashew was stuck in place and a lot higher in the air than he's used to, his arms were away from his body and he looked forward with a dazed look, confused as to why he is so high up, not realizing that Tarhil picked him up.
Tarhil: where do you think you're going, little man?
Cashew didn't respond, He just looked down at the massive hand that's holding him like a cup, trying to think of a way to get out of it.
Tarhil pulled Cashew closer and put him back on the ground were he was sitting originally.
Tarhil: You stay here. Can't have you running off after the Captain and your mother asked me to keep an eye on you.
Tarhil patted Cashew on the head and sat on the porch with his back turned to Cashew. The wood of the porch creaked and groaned under his weight with even a few nails giving out on the other side. Cashew jumped as the wood next to him shot up from the nails giving up.
Sara: TARHIL! GET OFF MY PORCH! YOURE BREAKING IT!"
Sara shouted as she was removing a horseshoe from the horse she was wrestling not long ago, Tarhil instantly shot up and got off her porch, apologizing to her and standing next to the porch.
Cashew took advantage and attempted to Bolt in the other direction only to be caught by Tarhil again.
Simon and the other Knights finished their talk and one of the other knights approached Yolun, the Knight approaching Yolun was black, had a bald head, no visible scars on his face and head, and seemed average height compared to the other knights.
Knight: Hey, New Kid!
Yolun: What do you want, Corpo?... Another hazing ritual for me?
Yolun sounded annoyed, as if he's seen through their plan years ago. He saw Simon and the other knights watching with smiles on their faces.
With a heavy Sigh, Yolun caved.
Yolun: Fine, What "Princess" is there to "save" this time?...
Corpo: Hahaha! I knew you'd come to your senses!
Corpo then pulled Yolun closer and showed him the paper, they are speaking too quietly for Cashew to hear, but Corpo pointed in the direction of the Goblin Cave and Yolun headed in that direction with a heavy Sigh, clearly not looking forward to it, all of the knights involved had a massive smile on their faces.
After a few hours, (Cashew spent the entire few hours trying to sneak off only to be stopped by Tarhil), the Knight in Dark Purple armor returned with a few bags, each bag was the size of a normal person's torso, but next to the Dark purple knight, They looked rather small.
The Dark Purple Knight called his knights forward and all of them lined up in front of him, including Tarhil, but not including Yolun.
Dark Purple Knight: Where is Yolun?
Simon stepped forward.
Simon: Captain, We sent him on another Hazing Ritual!.
Simon said in a loud and clear voice, not beating around the bush or sugar coating. Saying exactly what happened.
Captain: Another one?... Where?
Simon: The Goblin cave near this village!
Captain: Another "Princess"?...
Simon: Sara's Child claimed that he encountered a woman when he was in the cave, so there's a chance Yolun might actually come back with a Woman. I doubt it, but it could happen.
Simon maintained a clear and respectful tone the entire time, not speaking too quietly or too loud, not hiding anything.
Captain: How long until he's back?
Simon: Don't know, but if I had to guess, he should have been back by now.
Captain: *Sigh* Simon, since this was your idea, go to the cave and see if he's near the entrance. If he's not, go in and drag him out.
Simon: Yes!
With Zero hesitation, Simon instantly agreed and started heading in the direction of the cave, but as he was walking in the direction, Yolun suddenly appeared with a woman following him. The Woman following him was looking up at Yolun with admiration in her eyes and a light blush on her face, clearly infatuated by Yolun, she was easily a full meter shorter than Yolun and held his hand during the walk. It looked like a father walking his daughter to school with the size difference.
Cashew was nowhere to be seen as he instantly rushed off literally the second Tarhil started walking away, not wasting a second to disappear somewhere, but if he was here, he'd recognize the woman as the one he briefly saw in the cave when he first woke up.
Simon: Well, Shit... The kid wasn't lying... Wait? Was he?...
Simon questioned as the woman didn't quite match the description Cashew wrote down. She had light brown hair and was short, but Yoluns cloak was wrapped around her, so he couldn't tell if the clothes matched and there was no bruise on her right cheek.
Simon walked up to Yolun and the woman and leaned closer to Yolun...
Simon: Hey, New guy... Did she have a bruise on her right cheek and was she wearing a brown sleeveless shirt when you found her?...
Yolun: Yes, She was and still is wearing a sleeveless brown shirt, as for her cheek, she had mud on her cheek when I found her, but I didn't see a bruise.
Simon: Where did the mud go?
Yolun: I took her to the river so she could clean herself. The River probably wasn't good, but surely it was better than staying dirty until she returned home or wherever she planned to go. But I am surprised you were telling the truth about me finding a Princess this time. You've been lying in the past, but this time, you weren't.
Yolun said with a small smile, the Woman turned beet red after being called a princess and hid her face in the cloak wrapped around her. Simon noticed and smirked.
Simon: Well I'll be damned...
Simon turned around and looked at Knight #4.
Simon: HEY! HEY LONA! The new guy is old enough to be your grandson and he's still gonna get married before you! You gonna let that happen?!
Knight #4, who is named "Lona", got angry at Simons comment, but didn't do anything about it since the Captain was here.
Corpo: Yeah, why don't you marry that prostitute you like so much? Probably the closest you've ever had to a relationship anyways.
Yolun just had a Nervous smile listening to this while the woman was hiding behind Yolun completely.
Tarhil: Simon, you said that you'd buy the kid something if he was telling the truth about a woman being in the Cave, you gonna fulfill the promise?
Simon: Ok, one, I didn't promise, I just said that I would, and two, I'm a man of my word, of course I'll keep my end of the deal... I hope the kid doesn't ask for something expensive... Where is the kid, anyways?
Sara, who was busy feeding the horses suddenly shot up and looked at the last spot Cashew was at, Tarhil looked as well and they both saw that Cashew was missing.
Tarhil cursed under his breath as he moved towards the other side of the house to look for Cashew. When he made it there, he spotted Cashew lying on the ground, dead asleep with a smile on his face.
"Finally... I got to cast my magic until loaing conscious... Self improvement..." Cashew muttered under his breath before losing consciousness completely.
Tarhil just looked at Cashew with an expression that says he doesn't know what to do. Sara, seeing this, Rushed over and spotted her kid lying motionless on the ground.
Sara: Tarhil.... You had ONE Job...
Sara moved towards Cashew and picked him up, carrying him to the houses front door and carrying him inside.
Tarhil didn't bother apologizing or following her because he knew he messed up and he knew she would get even more mad if he broke her floors even more.
Simon and the Captain approached Tarhil, Simon putting an arm around Tarhils shoulder.
Simon: What happened?
Captain: Looked like Mana exhaustion. Does the kid know magic?
Tarhil: Yeah, he launched a few Water Balls at Simons face.
Captain: I see... Knowing magic at such a young age. The King might like to know about this. Magical Talent at such a young age is rare among humans. Assuming it's true, the King might want to nurture the talent and enroll him in the military when he's older. I'll run it by his parents when Eric gets back.
Simon: That will be a slap in the face to Eric... Remember when he tried enrolling in the Royal guard back when the previous King was still around? He was almost instantly rejected yet his kid who's so young might be pre-approved to join. This will be hilarious, I gotta watch!
Captain: No you're not.
Simon: Damn.
As the three of them talked, they heard Cashews father, Eric approaching.
Eric: Hey, it's been a while. You're here for the health potions from the Village Elder?
