The look of shock of the noble as well as the audible gasp every other student took were a feast for both my eyes and ears.
The student was nervous; his gaze was starting to wander in the direction of his servants. I could feel his fear, his anger, and the pressure he was feeling. It had such a meaty taste, it dwarfed the taste of that special meat I tasted in the Fracture.
As one of the servants tried to approach the pile of bricks, I gathered whatever droplets of energy into my hand; they manifested as pure colors—red, blue, and yellow. All of them had trouble gathering, but in the end, they were able to mix and turn into Colorful Madness, and then I pointed the gun at the servant.
I don't think I can fire a single round in this state; I can hardly keep this for more than a minute.
"Not you, I want the noble to pick them up." I warned her.
"What makes you think I'll do that?" The noble student asked me.
"Can you really afford to refuse? I can have you killed; it's not like you or your mother can do anything about it. Is your pride worth dying over?" I taunted him as I pressed the gun against the side of the servant's head.
Internally I was gloating, I was jumping around the classroom, and I felt like the coolest man alive for having said those words. Just like in those action movies.
To motivate the guy, I pointed the gun at him and nudged my head towards the pile of bricks. His anger was growing ever so fiercely, and then the guy emitted a new emotion, something so strong and vile it made me shiver.
Ultimately he couldn't refuse, so he reluctantly got up; with his only fist clenched, he approached me and raised his fist, but I didn't flinch, as I knew deep down he didn't have what it took to strike me, and he didn't.
I scoffed at his attempt at intimidating me as I watched him struggle to bend down and use his only remaining arm to gather a handful of bricks to carry away.
"Come on, we don't have the whole day to spare. Hurry up; you've got to have this whole pile delivered to that usual room by the end of the break." I said to further twist the knife in the wound.
A second gasp was heard by the audience outside.
I even followed the noble student to make sure he wasn't tasking someone else to carry those bricks and watched as he delivered them, slowly but surely, and as the break was ending, I gloated at seeing him running left and right to deliver those fucking bricks.
As the break was ending, I was surprised to see his mother coming from downstairs; along with my mother, they were chatting, smiling to each other, and whatnot. The principal too was happily trying to mediate between the two of them.
Those happy expressions immediately washed off their faces when the lady witnessed her son being humiliated publicly. She clearly wanted to yell; the veins in her eyes were showing, and I could see her fist clenching, yet she did nothing. She turned her head away, as if she could not see her son, and kept talking to my mother as if nothing had happened.
"Hurry up, brick boy, we don't have all the time in the world… cripples!" I yelled as I turned to Leo, "Can you imagine that? They think because of their state they can work sloppily." I said, imitating a figure I once saw in an old movie.
I could see Leo trying to make a disappointed expression, but I knew deep down he wanted to laugh; the corners of his mouth were trembling.
Hehehe
I was already in trouble; at this point I might as well have gone all out and enjoyed the moment while it lasted.
Ah, if only I had a whip, I could even… Nah, I don't think Mom would've let me.
"Luca, that's terrible." Leo commented while putting up his most innocent-looking face.
Your innocent-looking face is fooling no one, Leo. Stop trying to make the situation look worse; just help me out. At this rate I might not be able to play video games anymore.
When I looked back at him, he stared back at me with a look of "I told you so." In his eyes, it was incredibly frustrating.
The woman quickly rushed over to her son to tend him, drying the sweat on his forehead with a small napkin she took from under her dress while the student servant took the bricks out of his hands.
Ohh, come on, he's strong enough to send a kid flying with a mild push of his hands; what's the point in pretending to be suddenly so weak?
I then turned around, wary of my mother's expression, and she didn't seem moved at all by their theatrics; she exchanged glances with the cat-like maid following me, then she headed towards the classroom to inspect it.
The principal was following closely behind like a snake, trying to butter up my mother with fancy words, but then, with one cold glare, she managed to make him stop. After inspecting the wall behind the teacher's desk, she sighed.
"S-so?" The principal asked, terrified.
What's going on over there? What is she checking? Why is that man following her so… I don't know; he doesn't seem like the brave man willing to get his body torn apart in front of the entrance of the school.
"Yeah, he was telling the truth; it is clear that the fight was one-sided. He sent him flying with a lot of force; you can check it yourself if you don't believe me. It's not going to matter. We're going back; Lucy needs to go see a doctor urgently." She replied to him as she moved past him, shoving him aside.
Huh? But I'm perfectly fine.
"Lucy, let's go!" She said to me as she began to walk away from the classroom.
"But—" I tried to protest, but it was to no avail; the decision was already made.
"Lucy!" She shouted, her voice so powerful it silenced the entire school.
I wanted to protest some more, but I didn't find the courage in me to do so; instead, I stood still, hoping she would forget about me and return home, as if nothing ever happened there.
But the maid simply wouldn't allow for it to happen. She took hold of both my wrists, tied them behind my back, and proceeded to then lift my whole body over her shoulders.
"H-hey!"
"You promised it, young master; it's time to honor your words." The maid was quick to shut off any protest I had.
"See you later!" Leo shouted as the maid was hastily carrying me away.
Stop acting silly and help me! Otherwise there won't be a see you later for me!
He simply smiled in return before accompanying the Shia back in the classroom. The last thing I saw was the noble student glaring at him from the corner of his eyes, all the while his servants were busy carrying the remaining bricks to the other empty class.
Phew, that one was kind of… I thought for a moment I was in trouble—a shame I couldn't see that guy carry every last brick—but this doesn't mean the humiliation will end here. Until he becomes the bitch of the school, I will keep working on him. It's a shame I only got one year to ruin his life.
"Well, if I make him fail this year, then I might be able to prolong the time I have left to torture him." I mistakenly spoke my thoughts out loud.
Oh shit.
The maid sighed.
"A shame our cute and lovable young master has grown into such a hateful and spiteful man in less than a couple of weeks." She commented as she shook her head, disappointed in me.
Huh? Me? Cute? Really?
In a few leaps she had already caught up to my mother, who was slowly descending the flight of stairs. Without uttering a single word, the maid then lifted me up and placed my body over the Scarlet Devil's shoulders.
I didn't let out a single sound; I was too nervous to do anything, so I stayed still, not moving a single muscle as she carried me to a familiar-looking building.
