Liam's POV
Shock filled his eyes. He tried to mask it, burying the emotion beneath that hard, unfeeling stare he always wore—but I saw it. And instead of confronting him, I simply smiled, watching him struggle to maintain his composure.
"Do you have anything you want to say about it?" I asked calmly, still seated in their chair, my voice laced with quiet challenge.
"I had to do what I had to do," he replied, straightening his back like it would justify his words. At that very moment, something snapped in me. A tidal wave of anger surged through my veins, nearly drowning me in rage.
"You had to do what you had to do... by killing my parents when I was just a child?" My voice was low, trembling with emotion. But the room fell into silence. He said nothing. Not even a whisper.
I leaned forward, eyes locked on his. "So where is my sister?"
