Chapter 28 - Chapter 27 - J. Bond?

Since childhood, Loki had known he was adopted, even though Frigga and Odin never showed it in their behavior. They treated him as their own son, and Frigga showered him with the love and care he needed, making him forever grateful to them.

However, as a child, he was curious about his true parents. Yet, he didn't want Frigga and Odin to know his thoughts, so he continued to show his filial side while scheming behind their backs. He went as far as to create an independent organization that followed his absolute authority. This organization spanned the Nine Realms and had already reached every corner—even Earth was not spared.

Through this, he discovered Jotunheim, the land of the Frost Giants. On this planet, he felt a strange familiarity and a deep sense of belonging, as if he were meant to return. But Loki knew he couldn't go straight to Jotunheim, as each child of the Royal Family was closely monitored by Odin himself, forcing him to remain in Asgard.

Determined to uncover the truth, Loki used his organization to make contact with Jotunheim and obtain an item capable of testing one's bloodline—the Casket of Ancient Winters. This relic from Jotunheim had once been captured by the Einherjar of Asgard, an elite group of warriors tasked with protecting Asgard and maintaining order across the Nine Realms.

Upon learning of its location, Loki immediately sought out the Casket of Ancient Winters. He went to great lengths to reach it, knowing it was stored in Odin's closely guarded vault.

Sneaking into the vault, he carefully moved past the many artifacts until he finally laid eyes on the Casket of Ancient Winters. He couldn't resist touching it. The moment his fingers made contact, his hand immediately turned blue—a defining trait of the Frost Giants.

Loki, now aware of his true origins, felt his mind go blank. He had finally uncovered who he was and where he came from, yet he had no idea what to do next. The only path forward was to seek more clues about his real parents.

Years passed before he discovered the truth—he was Loki, son of Laufey, the rightful King of Jotunheim. As cunning as ever, Loki immediately realized the true purpose of his existence. He had been brought to Asgard as a bridge between Jotunheim and Asgard, a mere political piece in a greater scheme.

From what he had gathered, Laufey had been losing against Odin. With no other options, Laufey had gambled everything in one last attempt to defeat the All-Father. But his efforts had been in vain. Odin, wielding the immense power of the Odinforce, had overwhelmed him, leading to Laufey's death.

Vorrak was surprised by this revelation. He had believed Laufey should still be alive, but now, everything was different. He simply accepted that some things couldn't be undone—what was done was done.

Odin, ever the magnanimous king, had chosen to bring Loki back to Asgard. That was how he had been raised by Odin and Frigga.

Since then, Loki's thirst for power had only intensified. Fully understanding his role, he resolved to surprise his adoptive father by becoming strong enough to stand as his equal. And to achieve that, he needed Vorrak's help.

Vorrak, recognizing this ambition, merged Loki's Asgardian and Frost Giant physiology. In doing so, he created the impossible—a being who embodied the strengths of both races.

Now, Loki possessed the ability to generate and manipulate ice, an inherited power from the Frost Giants. At the same time, he retained his title as the God of Mischief, with his strength now greatly enhanced by the fusion of his dual heritage.

Through assimilation, Vorrak also gained mastery over ice, further expanding his abilities with his Devourer's Genesis.

[ Devourer's Genesis:

Can assimilate and mutate biomass, endlessly evolving to counter any threat or absorb enemy traits. ]

Even Odin's power had been assimilated into Vorrak, alongside Laussa's mystical fire.

Now, he wielded three elemental forces—Thunder from Thor, Mystical Fire from Laussa, and Ice Manipulation from Loki.

Additionally, Loki's newfound physiology, a fusion of Asgardian and Frost Giant traits, granted Vorrak an extra 50 tons of strength.

A few moments passed before Laussa became the first to awaken. She eagerly conjured her new flames, now brimming with destructive and corruptive power. Overjoyed, she expressed her gratitude to Vorrak, excitedly discussing how much stronger she had become.

Loki was next to wake. His eyes briefly flashed an icy blue before returning to normal. It seemed that the more powerful the individual, the longer it took to adjust to their newfound strength.

This was evident with Odin, who remained in deep meditation for three days, sitting motionless in the garden.

Frigga and Thor soon learned of what had transpired and, driven by their desire to grow stronger, chose to undergo the same process with Vorrak. Frigga took an entire day to awaken, while Thor—who possessed the greatest potential among the royal family—took as long as Odin, three days, to regain control over his enhanced power.

Once they had mastered their strength, they expressed their gratitude to Vorrak. As a reward for his contributions, Odin granted him access to the treasures of his vault.

Odin's Vault contained a wealth of legendary artifacts: the Eternal Flame, the Orb of Agamotto (similar to the Eye of Agamotto), the Destroyer Armor, the Infinity Gauntlet (without the stones), the Tablet of Life and Time, and more.

Vorrak found himself torn between three choices—the Orb of Agamotto, the mysterious Tablet of Life and Time, and the Eternal Flame. While the Orb intrigued him, the existence of the Eye of Agamotto made it less unique. The Tablet, though tempting, had an unknown purpose. Ultimately, after careful deliberation, Vorrak chose the Eternal Flame, sensing its potential usefulness in the future.

A month had passed since Vorrak's arrival in Asgard, and in that time, the remaining half of the population had been thoroughly tested. His stay could now be considered a success—of the 12,000 individuals examined, 3,000 were deemed eligible for conversion into entry cards. These individuals were stronger and more intelligent than the average Asgardian, with some even surpassing Thor in intellect and Laussa in raw strength.

"Two months have passed since I first arrived here. Laussa, Odin, Thor, Loki, and Frigga, thank you for your hospitality, but now I must return to Earth—I have unfinished business to attend to," Vorrak declared.

The mood grew somber. Laussa, in particular, looked downcast, knowing she could not accompany him. She had her own duties, including an impending ceremonial obligation. Yet, she also understood that Vorrak had his own life—Asgard was not truly his home.

"You may return here anytime, Vorrak. Call Heimdall's name, and the Bifrost shall open for you. Farewell, my friend," Odin said, placing a firm hand on Vorrak's muscular shoulder. Even in his symbiote form, Vorrak's body remained solid and imposing.

Unlike most, Vorrak had never worn clothing—his symbiote form made it unnecessary. With a final nod, he turned toward Heimdall, who silently acknowledged him before twisting his blade. A radiant rainbow light engulfed Vorrak as the Bifrost transported him back to Earth.

The royal family and a large gathering of Asgardians had assembled to witness his departure. In just two months, Vorrak had earned the respect of Asgard's people. Odin himself had declared Vorrak a wise and honorable individual, and in Asgard, the All-Father's words were absolute.

The people also knew that Vorrak was the reason the royal family had grown exponentially stronger. While some envied them for this newfound power, they also understood that a stronger royal family meant a more secure Asgard—benefiting everyone.

What they did not know, however, was that Vorrak had left a part of himself behind in Asgard. This fragment of his symbiote held half of his total strength, including his multipliers, knowledge, and combat experience. It was his silent assurance that Asgard would remain protected, even in his absence.

March 16, 1943.

Somewhere in the shadows of a New York City alleyway, Vorrak materialized through his portal. Heimdall had initially teleported him to a desert, a precautionary measure that Vorrak appreciated—he had no desire to draw unnecessary attention upon his return.

"I should bond with a human for now," Vorrak muttered to himself before shifting into the form of a starry black eagle, soaring through the city at high speed in search of his next host.

Moments later, he spotted his target. Without hesitation, he dove down, latching onto the man's head and suffocating him in the process. The bond was instant. As Vorrak merged with his new host, memories began to flood his mind.

The man's name was James Bond—a young man with dark brown hair, piercing brown eyes, and an athletic build. His attire was stylish yet practical, fitting for someone who carried himself with quiet confidence.

"James Bond?" Vorrak mused, sifting through the memories. "Is this the James Bond from the UK? An MI6 agent?"

Realization struck him like lightning. He had bonded with a legend. A coincidence? Perhaps. But an amusing one nonetheless.

"Well, since I've bonded with you, I might as well reward you," Vorrak said, grinning. "Let's see how you fare with an Asgardian physiology."

With a mere thought, he manipulated Bond's genes. The transformation was immediate—what was once a peak human physique became something far greater. James Bond's strength skyrocketed from being able to lift a mere 100 kilograms to 10 tons, and the numbers were still climbing.

Satisfied with his work, Vorrak—now in Bond's body—set his course for Greenwich Village, a place he knew all too well.
