"The Price of the Lost" is a touching story about a little kitten named Billy and a kind-hearted beggar. When Billy gets lost in the rainy streets, a poor but kind boy finds him and takes care of him, facing many dangers to protect him from a cruel man. The little beggar, with furrowed brows, sat by the dumpster, holding Billy in his arms, lost in thought. Since childhood, the boy had grown up as an orphan, with no relatives, no friends to support him, help him, or love him. Billy was the only creature he had truly bonded with and had come to love deeply.


The beggar thought that after all the suffering, hunger, and sleeping on the streets, he could use the money to start a new life and live normally. But on the other hand, he couldn't bear to part with the kitten.


Ten days had already passed since Billy and the beggar had been together, yet the boy was still lost in thought, often feeling very sad. His only source of joy was Billy, who, even with his gentle meowing, managed to comfort him during his moments of sorrow.
