A woman's voice rang out beside Asta's ear. He remained standing in place, fingers toying with a gemstone, his deep amber eyes unreadable.
The woman paid him no mind. After giving her explanation, she returned to her seat.
Asta didn't care that Lily and the other child had gone missing. First, his instincts had never liked Lily—he'd always felt something strange about that child.
Of course, he had done his best to protect her. Now that she had vanished, it wasn't his fault, and there was no reason to feel guilty. As for the other NPC child, Asta had found it odd from the moment it started affecting Aurora's emotions if it was gone now, all the better.
