The Gilded Ones fell to THE Gamaidjan, and it was not a pretty thing to watch!
Their eyes went fully blue, pupils swallowed by the madness, and the disciplined pride that had governed their entire existence curdled into the shapeless certainty of beings who had touched Infinity and lost the anchor that kept them separate from it.
One of them began laughing, the sound wrong in every way a sound could be wrong. The other stopped moving toward Achilles and started moving toward nothing in particular, swiping at the air, snarling at threats that existed only inside a mind that no longer worked the way minds were supposed to.
Achilles took everything else while they came apart!
