Chapter 35 - Darkest of Dawns Part 3.2 (Naya)

Ten minutes later hers arrived. It took her across town, back past Drake.

Onwards it travelled to houses which took up entire blocks.

Her stop.

Her butler got the call, others weren't to be trusted. Their loyalty was to her mother. They'd report first chance they got and no amount of lying would save her. Tetsu was her only hope. She waited, hit by sudden relief when the dial went from connecting to ringing.

"Naya, where are you?" He demanded.

A few red zones turned green and she breathed easier, there was comfort in his panic.

"Tetsu. I'm on the corner, come pick me up."

"Why don't you just come inside?"

"Two reasons. The first I believe you know. The second is because we have to go somewhere."

Naya looked at herself and sighed.

"Please bring a change of clothes and one of my sneakers," She paused running an inventory. "The red and white Puma's and my black and yellow sandals… and red socks… dealers choice on which. But… not the butterfly ones. But… yeah… dealers choice."

It took effort to shut up. Like the KGB, every outfit set had its own dossier.

"I'll do it now"

She could hear him on the move.

It brightened a shitty day.

"Please be quick, make sure no one's curious. Thank you."

"Naya what-"

She put down the phone and lay on the Keiji family grass.

They wouldn't mind, in fact, they'd be honoured.

She was ready for sleep, weary of the monsters who'd come out at night. To top it off, people would be attached, just like her. The scariest part was what they'd do. Her mind flashed to her breaking through army ranks like a hot knife through butter. It'd felt too good to be right. Religions were built to fight such grossly savage and indulgent pleasures.

A black Mercedes AMG GT screamed to a halt in front of her. She looked up to see a crestfallen Tetsu.

"Naya-Sama!"

Tetsu was tall but uneven. In sections he was a marathon runner or a pro-wrestler, in others just fat. His neck dangerously thin along with his wrists and back, but his thighs were wide, with a larger, almost curved, chest. All visible under a suit that looked like a school uniform.

Naya sighed, he was being 'formal'

"Pick me up. I'm tired."

He lifted her with ease before plopping her into the back seat. She grunted, letting herself sink into the leather, taking in the smell and feel. She'd have drowned in it. Next to her head rested neat stacks of clothes, plus a uniform. She smiled, head shaking. It was masterfully passive aggressive.

She tried to ease her shoe off, stopping after a second. The sock had all but melded to her nerves. She went to the other foot.

"Naya-Sama! Tell me what happened. You're hurt."

"No, I don't have to do anything." Naya growled and immediately regretted it.

If he snitched, she'd be in so much trouble it didn't have an end. Like the universe it'd just expand, forever.
