Rayliegh looked from Mr. Rhyse to Alex, who seemed to understand what Mr. Rhyse was saying.
"What is concept construction? It doesn't sound all that powerful."
"Oh, it is powerful, Rayliegh, it can bring anything you can think of, or better say conceptualize, into the real world, but that was how the power worked for your father, and while you were unconscious, I appraised your version, and it is even stronger than I first thought. You see, the drawback with your father's power is that anything he created, he could not reverse or destroy."
Rayleigh got to his feet with some struggle.
"Is that the only drawback? It doesn't sound that bad, I mean, he was just creating objects, that's it, right?"
"Oh, I seemed to of not finished giving a proper explanation on your and your father's power. You see, you can create two types of concepts: physical and universal. I have told you about the physical concept, being able to create objects as you please, but universal concepts are more unique and require more control over them. To put it simply, you can think of them as adjectives. When they are applied to objects, they can make objects faster, stronger, or completely useless. But if he were to make a concept that fire was cold, it would become true, and it would stay that way forever, so he had to be very careful when creating universal concepts."
Rayleigh was starting to get the picture of how powerful concept creation is; he was also excited to see what his refined and mutated version would be able to do.
"Anyway, as I was saying, your version of this power is better and stronger than your father's, all because of a word being added to the title."
At this, Alex let out a scream.
"What do you mean, another word has been added? What does it even do?"
"You see, Rayliegh, as you know, words have power, but not in the sense that if you speak ill of someone, they will become depressed or anything like that, although that is true, I am talking about words that can make or break powers. It is not that common for a mutation to add a word to a power, but when it does happen, it is cause for celebration. You see, your father's power was called concept construction, and yours is called concept construction and destruction. Normally, I would be thrilled for you, but the destruction part does make me uneasy, due to how unknown your power is to me."
As Mr. Rhyese finished talking, Rayliegh remembered that he destroyed Rita.
"Sir, what happens if I were to destroy a person's concepts?"
At this, Alex went pale, remembering what Rayliegh did.
"Well, theoretically speaking, I assume that they would be sent to absole the prison of the void. Now that you bring that up, we need to hurry before it's too late. I really wish we could of helped you learn how to use your power, but Alex did teach you how to use Adrin, so you will be able to defend yourself for now."
Mr. Rhyese was putting on a coat while he spoke. Rayliegh was getting a bit nervous from the way Mr. Rhyese was talking.
"Sir, where are we going?"
"We are heading back to the school before Rita's concept breaks out of Absloe and becomes a null entity."
