Chapter 4 - Prowess Revealed, Part 1

Rayleigh heard voices talking around him, "It is unbelievable what he is currently capable of. I remember teaching his father, and it took him several months to make the same-sized dagger. Even then, the silver's quality was half as pure as this danger."

Rayleigh heard Alex saying, "I can't believe I was so ignorant not to think of that simple loophole. I should have been more specific in stating the rule."

Rayleigh, feeling his energy from behind him, opened his eyes to see Alex and Mr. Ryese standing next to a workbench, inspecting something. As Rayliegh got up, Alex noticed and rushed over, er looking relieved.

"Thank my mother, you are alive. Ray, I am so sorry I made you worry and protect me, but still, I didn't know you were so capable of this much power after just learning to generate energy."

Mr. Ryese came over, though Rayleigh noticed that he was limping slightly, but still had that smile of his. " I am pleased that you have come back, Rayleigh. I am also surprised that you have some natural talent for using your powers."

Rayleigh got up with some help from Alex. They both looked at Mr. Rheyes to see what their next plan was.

"Now that Rayleigh has woken up, I think it is time for me to explain what his power"

Rayliegh and Alex both look at each other, waiting for Mr. Ryese to continue.

"But before I tell you, I should explain how inherited powers work. As Alex is aware, the chances of gaining a new unique power that does not resemble either both or one parents are extremely low, however, there are two ways an inherited power will work. One way is that the power will mutate into something similar, but it will change to fit the child's personality. This is an extremely rare case. The other possibility is that the power will be refined and become more powerful, but in your case, Rayliegh, it seems that your father's power has been refined and also mutated for you, which is almost unheard of."

Rayleigh suddenly felt strange, as if he was put on a pedestal to be examined.

"As I was saying, you have inherited your father's power, which, even before it got refined and mutated it was one of the strongest and most feared I have ever seen, for he had the power to eliminate armies within a second and reshape the world as we know it to fit his liking if he so pleased, for he had the power of concept construction."
