## Lily's POV
The will reading had been postponed indefinitely while the lawyers sorted through Richard's new dictations, but that didn't stop the chaos brewing outside the hospital walls. News vans lined the street, reporters shouting questions about Calvin's arrest, about the Martinez inheritance, about everything that should have remained private.
Lily stood at the window of her father's room, watching the media circus below. Behind her, Richard slept peacefully for the first time in days, his breathing steady and strong.
"The charges against Calvin don't make sense," she said quietly to Daniel, who sat reading legal documents in the corner chair.
"Financial fraud rarely does until you see the full picture." Daniel looked up from the papers. "But you're right. The timeline is suspicious."
