Chapter 134 - ROYAL PRESENT.

Mirha arrived at Gina's chambers within minutes of Mayora's urgent summons.

Gina was lying on the bed, looking both excited and terrified, one hand resting protectively on her swollen belly. Mayora was already performing another careful examination, her expression focused and serious.

Mirha sat beside Gina and took her hand. "I'm here."

Mayora finished her check and straightened, brow furrowed with concern.

"The baby is moving very slowly," she said quietly. "We need to bring this child into the world soon, or it risks suffocating itself inside."

Gina's face paled, but Mirha squeezed her hand reassuringly.

"It's okay," Mirha said calmly. "We'll handle this."

She turned to one of the attendants. "Please fetch Yadid immediately."

Then Mirha looked at Yuma, who had followed her in. "Yuma, have them inform the Duke that his royal present is on the way— his Heir"

Yuma bowed and hurried out.

Gina managed a shaky smile, happy but clearly nervous. "Why am I not feeling any pain yet?"

Mayora offered a gentle smile. "Yadid will bring a special tea to help induce the labor safely. It should start working soon. Try to stay calm, Your Grace."

Gina nodded, relief washing over her face.

Mirha stayed by Gina's side for hours, holding her hand, speaking softly to keep her calm as the evening stretched on. Gina eventually drifted into a light, exhausted sleep.

Mayora finally turned to Mirha, voice low. "It will take a while longer. You should go and rest, my lady. I will watch over her."

Mirha looked at Gina's peaceful sleeping face, then back at Mayora.

"Alright… but please call me the moment anything changes."

Mayora nodded. "Of course."

Mirha stood, gave Gina's hand one last gentle squeeze, and quietly left the room, heading back to her own chambers with a heavy but hopeful heart.

While Mirha was heading back to her chambers, she nearly collided with Rnzo in the corridor.

He looked anxious and disheveled, clearly having just returned from the Kilimah estate and only now hearing the news. His usual calm demeanor was gone, replaced by barely contained worry.

Mirha stopped him gently with a hand on his arm.

Rnzo didn't hesitate. He pulled her into a quick, grateful hug that caught her completely off guard.

"I am very grateful to you," he said, voice rough with emotion. "Thank you for being there with my wife."

Mirha patted his shoulder lightly, a little awkward but sincere. "I did nothing, Your Grace. This is all Gina. She is really strong."

Rnzo pulled back, eyes searching hers. "How is she?"

Mirha gave him a small, reassuring nod. "She has been given the inducing tea. She will have the child soon. Your child will be here, Your Grace."

Rnzo's shoulders relaxed slightly, a tired but hopeful smile breaking through. "Gina will be so happy."

Mirha returned the smile. "She will."

Rnzo exhaled. "Please go rest. I will go be with her now."

Mirha nodded and continued on her way.

When she reached her chambers, Arvin was already there, sitting on the edge of the bed waiting for her. He looked up as she entered, concern softening his features.

Mirha walked over and sat beside him.

"How is Gina?" he asked quietly.

"She is fine so far," Mirha replied, leaning into his side a little.

Arvin nodded, clearly relieved. "That's good."

He gently pulled her down onto the bed with him, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek.

"You should rest now," he murmured.

Mirha snuggled closer to his chest, letting his warmth surround her. She closed her eyes, the exhaustion of the day finally catching up.

----------‐--------->

The moon hung high and bright in the dead of night, casting a silvery glow through the windows of Gina's chambers.

Gina gave one final, exhausted push and delivered her first son into the world.

The baby's loud, healthy scream filled the room instantly. Gina clutched him to her chest, tears streaming down her face as she laughed and cried at the same time, overwhelmed with love and relief. Rnzo leaned down and pressed tender kisses to Gina's damp forehead, his own eyes glistening as he whispered soft words of praise and awe.

Yuma, standing nearby with Mayora, asked quietly, "Should we call Lady Mirha?"

Mayora shook her head gently. "Forgive me, but I drugged her to sleep on the emperor's request. She will see the baby tomorrow."

Yuma looked shocked for a moment but simply nodded, respecting the decision.

Mayora carefully separated the mother and newborn, waiting for the placenta. But as she worked, her expression suddenly changed.

"There is another baby coming," she said urgently, eyes widening.

Gina gasped in shock. Rnzo froze, staring at Mayora in disbelief.

The second baby was smaller than his brother and still enclosed in his amniotic sac. Mayora and Yadid worked quickly. Yadid carefully burst the sack, and the tiny boy let out a thin but determined cry.

Everyone in the room was stunned into silence for a heartbeat.

Mayora checked once more, then exhaled in relief. "Just the placenta now. No more."

Gina stared at the two tiny boys in her arms, tears falling freely again — this time from pure, astonished joy. Rnzo looked completely overwhelmed, one hand gently touching each of his sons as if afraid they might vanish.

The room filled with quiet, awed murmurs as the reality settled in: twins.

Mayora wiped her hands and smiled softly at the new parents.

"Two healthy boys," she said. "A miracle, Your Graces."

-------------------->

After the chaos and wonder of the double birth, the room slowly settled into a quiet, sacred calm.

The two newborn boys were gently bathed and cleaned right there in the same chamber, under Gina's watchful eyes. She refused to let them out of her sight even for a moment. Rnzo stayed close, never leaving her side, his strong hands helping the attendants where he could while his gaze kept drifting back to his sons in quiet disbelief.

When the babies were finally swaddled and laid in the cradle beside the bed, Gina still wouldn't sleep. She looked utterly exhausted — face pale, eyes heavy — but she kept turning her head to stare at the two tiny bundles, as if afraid they might disappear if she closed her eyes.

Rnzo watched her for a long while, heart full and aching at the same time. When her eyelids began to droop and then jerked open again for the third time, he made a quiet decision.

He signaled one of the attendants discreetly. A small dose of a gentle sleeping draught was prepared and slipped into a cup of warm herbal tea. Gina drank it without suspicion, too tired to notice.

Not long after, her breathing deepened and she finally slipped into a deep, much-needed sleep.

Rnzo lay down beside her, careful not to disturb her. He turned onto his side, one arm resting protectively over her waist, and simply watched his sons.

The two boys slept peacefully in their cradle, tiny chests rising and falling in perfect sync.

Rnzo couldn't sleep.

He was beyond happy — a fierce, overwhelming joy that made his chest feel too tight. These were his sons. His blood. A future he hadn't dared to dream of so soon.

He lay there for hours, eyes never leaving the cradle, a soft, incredulous smile on his face as the moon slowly crossed the sky outside.

For the first time in a long while, the weight of the world felt lighter.
