The battlefield was chaos. The massive Red Giant Ogre, Devyi stood at the center of the dungeon, its dagger burning with black flames, scorching the stone beneath its feet. The air was thick with smoke, the walls cracked from the sheer force of its attacks.
Players had been wiped out left and right—only a handful remained, those strong enough to keep standing against the beast.
The Last Standing Fighters:
Shinto – The Terrific Samurai (Rank 390)
Shinto gritted his teeth, gripping the hilt of his katana tightly. His blade dripped with energy, the edges glowing faintly with the power to cut through even the hardest stone.
I could end this right now… he thought.
But the cost was too high. His strongest attack, the Titan Slayer Slash, would drain 99% of his life—leaving him as good as dead.
Devyi's flaming dagger slammed down near him, forcing him to roll away.
"Damn it!" Shinto growled, his mind racing. If I use my strongest attack, I'll be too weak to survive the aftermath. But if I don't… we might all die anyway.
Yurizu – The Healing Warrior (Rank 99)
Yurizu dashed between fallen players, her hands glowing as she healed those barely clinging to life. Sweat poured down her face as she struggled to keep up.
She glanced at Shinto, understanding his hesitation.
"Shinto!" she yelled. "If you do it, I'll heal you after! You just have to survive long enough!"
Shinto hesitated. "Are you sure? If I drop to 1% health, I'll be—"
"JUST DO IT!"
Vin Jira – The Bagger (Rank 498)
Vin Jira stood at the back, gripping his black leather bag, his eyes locked onto Devyi. He had already used his Bag of Oblivion to trap smaller enemies before, but an opponent of this size… it would take everything he had.
He took a deep breath, then sprinted forward.
"I'm going in!" he shouted.
Yurizu's eyes widened. "Wait—Vin, you can't—"
"Too late!"
With one quick motion, Vin Jira swung his bag open—a vortex of energy swirling inside. He jumped high, dodging a massive swipe from Devyi's dagger, then aimed the bag straight for the ogre's face.
The suction force kicked in.
Devyi roared as part of its arm and shoulder began pulling into the bag. But the ogre wasn't going down without a fight. It clawed at the air, resisting, its burning dagger slashing wildly.
"I CAN'T HOLD IT FOREVER!" Vin screamed, veins bulging from the strain.
Shinto clenched his katana. This is it…
He took a deep breath, channeling all of his energy into one final swing. The air rippled, the dungeon shook, and a massive spectral katana manifested above him.
"Titan Slayer Slash!"
With a mighty roar, Shinto swung down, the colossal blade cutting through Devyi's chest—splitting the ogre in two with an explosion of flames and black mist.
For a moment, there was silence.
Then—Devyi's body collapsed.
Vin collapsed to his knees, panting. Yurizu rushed to Shinto, immediately casting a powerful heal just as his health dropped to 1%.
The 6th floor had been cleared.
A system message appeared above them.
[BOSS DEFEATED!]
[CONGRATULATIONS, SURVIVORS!]
As the dust settled, the remaining players let out a sigh of relief.
Shinto groaned. "Ugh… I feel like I just got hit by a truck."
Yurizu smirked. "You almost died. You're welcome."
Vin wiped his forehead. "Remind me never to do that again…"
But they all knew—the 7th floor was waiting.
And whatever was next… it was going to be even worse.
