FOUR MONTHS LATER
It's been four months now, Jae Won and Vincent has been the happiest couple in the entire universe. His birthday that was two months and some days ago was amazing for Vincent. He ended up asking Jae Won when his birthday was but he just smiled and ignored him. This was one of the questions Vincent had been asking for the past two months and anytime he managed to escape this.
Vincent realized there must be a reason why he didn't want to tell him when his birthday was so he didn't push or ask again. And after all, it was his graduation for him to receive his degree. All the family went to the city Vincent's school was and they had to rent a hotel for the whole family.
Only the drivers were able to go to the graduation ceremony of their young master. The remaining servants were left home alone to keep the mansion busy till they returned. Proudness was written all over Mr. Jonathan and his wife face. They were so happy their first child was about to graduate and not that but he had the perfect GPA among all the rest of the students.
The family left the mansion yesterday to be able to relaxed before the ceremony. And this morning they weren't just happy but they were on cloud nine as they hurriedly dressed up for the occasion that was going to happen in the next hour.
As they got to the school campus, the hall was large with seating to provide a view of the stage while the stage was decorated with banners, balloons to add up to the ceremony.
The stage too was design to incorporate the school's logo and many more. The overall design aim to create an atmosphere that breathed graduation.
Thirty minutes later, the ceremony begins and as the graduates walked onto the stage, Vincent's eyes scanned through the crowd as he searched for a familiar face with a stern face as though he would die without seeing the person. He came to school after his internship for the graduation so he left home a week ago, this meant he had missed Jae Won like hell.
That was why he was searching through the crowd, and then, he saw him, Jae Won beaming with a bright smile shining the entire auditorium. With his eyes shining with happiness, he clapped as he watched Vincent walked onto the stage.
Vincent couldn't help himself as he smiled back at Jae Won as his heart swelled with his emotion when he caught Jae Won's gaze. He was just happy just to see him here even though he would have come.
Mrs. Gladys who didn't even get a glance from Vincent had to vent her anger to her husband as she said "he didn't even spare us a glance when we paid all the fees for four years. How ungrateful and who the hell did he smile like that for" as she said this she began to look at the direction where the gaze was been sent to. But her jaw dropped when her eyes met Jae Won's bright smile whose gaze was still following Vincent.
For some reasons, she felt like this kind of gaze was something unusual but she couldn't quite place her finger on it. There her gaze landed on Akwasi who was also was smiling at his girlfriend who was also seated at the back of Mrs. Gladys. She immediately turned to look at her back to see who Akwasi was smiling at.
After she saw the beautiful woman with a bright smile and a loving gaze just like Jae Won, "young kids these days and their love life. He didn't even bother to look at his parents but he was rather looking at his girlfriend" said by Mrs. Gladys as she leaned in closer to her husband to whisper. Mr. Jonathan shook his head as he smiled before he responded, "sweetie, don't blame them. We were just like them our time" as he said this Mrs. Gladys laughed before she opened her mouth and said, "Seriously, we were like that but this is too much. Just looking at her eyes screamed I'm in love b…" but she couldn't continue as she just realized something making her breath hitched and something clicked in her.
'Wait, is Jae Won in lov…..no no that can't be possible. It's just a gaze and nothing much. It's not what I'm thinking' thought by Mrs. Gladys putting the thought behind her mind as she focused on the ceremony ahead.
Vincent's mother turned to her right and her gaze met with Akwasi's mum and they all smiled simultaneously as if they had planned to smile from the beginning. With their gazes held, they communicated with their eyes and at the end of it they smiled again before they sent their focus back to the ceremony.
Samuel on the other hand was busy making videos of Vincent as he walked up to the stage and even recorded Vincent smiling at Jae Won without forgetting to bring Jae Won into the video. The ceremony was ongoing as the graduates were being called upon to take their certificates and Samuel was eager to video Vincent to be called upon.
As his hand was gripped around the phone, he was suddenly pushed to the side and with a glare, he sent it to the direction only to meet Claudia's gaze as she was smiling "hey watch out. I'm being a photographer here don't disturb me. This will serve as a nice memory to Jae Won and Vincent" said by Samuel as he turned back to the ceremony waiting for Vincent's turned.
Claudia who had noticed Emelia sitting among the graduates smiled at her while she made a face indicating she was sleepy. This made Claudia laughed while she accidentally pushed Samuel only to hear him say rubbish.
"And what has this" said by Claudia as she circled her hands around the activity Samuel was doing "got to do with Jae Won and Vincent's happiness?" but she was met with silence which she didn't take it to heart.
After a minute of silence, Samuel said "don't worry, little girls like you don't have to worry about grown up issues. You will understand everything when you grow up."
Emelia, "..."
'See me see wahala oo. What does this boy meant by little girl? Between the both of them who was older' thought Claudia as she shook her head in disbelief. Samuel hit a jackpot with his video because Vincent was staring at Jae Won every chance he got and when the moment was right, he winked at Jae Won and smiled too making Jae Won's heart melt into a puddle.
All this was recorded as Samuel gave a big smile as he had hit the lottery and grinned like the joker. His little fujoshi heart was in turmoil. In not less than a minute and Vincent's name was called upon to receive his certificate. The moment he took the certificate and pose for the picture to be taken then he did the unthinkable.
He suddenly turned to Jae Won's direction and blew a kiss in the air which took everyone by surprise as they all started laughing while looking at the person the kiss was blown to. But he did it in a way no one could pinpoint the receiving person but Samuel was the only one who knew what was going and he was able to get this on camera.
He vowed to extract money for something he wanted to buy if Vincent ever wanted that video from him and he planned on making backups of this cherishable moment. As Vincent walked off the stage, he couldn't wait to hug Jae Won and celebrate this happiness together. Jae Won's smile had been the constant source of encouragement throughout the ceremony and he couldn't wait to pin him down and kissed him till he was out of breath because he hadn't seen him in a week.
The ceremony ended after two hours of sitting. He felt grateful Jae Won was with him through this ceremony even though he had just met him a few months ago. But with his love for him and him being here was all he could wish for. With his degree certificate in his hand, he made his way through the sea of graduates and families, his eye was only locked on Jae Won's as though they were the only people with his heart full of joy and love.
Jae Won's smile as he stood there waiting for Vincent made his heart beat louder than usual. He bet those around him could hear it but he didn't care what they heard because he was watching the man who has turned his world upside down.
If someone had told him he would fall for someone, he would have beat the person black and blue and he actually did and not that but he fell in love with a man which has never crossed his mind before.
The moment he got closer to Jae Won, he didn't hesitate as he said, "You do realize how much I love you. Jae Won, I LOVE YOU" said Vincent as he was leaning in to kiss him.
