"The Guild Master left as soon as he heard the news about Kyle. Because of everything surrounding me, I was forced to remain at the hospital. Even if I hadn't been, though, I had no interest in going to greet Kyle.
After all, I'd known about the event from the very beginning. I was the one who had allowed it to happen.
Falling back onto the bed, I stared blankly at the ceiling.
'Since Kyle and I have decided to work together, there's no longer a need for me to keep him chained with me. I'm also not worried about him backstabbing me since I can still control him.'
Initially, I'd considered claiming that I'd rescued Kyle from the same lab where I'd saved Soran and Rowan's sister. In the end, however, the biggest problem was that the general public believed Kyle had been lost in the Land Beneath.
