The Arbiter exhaled harshly, a sharp huff slipping past her lips. "Lazy fool," she muttered under her breath.
"I heard that," the Warden of the Abyss said without opening his eyes, his voice low and heavy.
Heat rushed into the Arbiter's face, her cheeks flushing red. She pressed her lips tight, choosing silence, though her jaw trembled with swallowed pride.
"You must learn to control your emotions," the Sovereign of Eternal Dawn chided, her golden gaze piercing. "You are the Arbiter of Celestial Law. Act like it."
The Arbiter shifted in place, shoulders stiff, eyes dropping. She did not argue.
"Now," the Sovereign continued, "let us discuss the punishment of the Huntress. What does each of you deem fitting?"
The arena held its breath as the High Divinities began their deliberations.
"I say her existence should be wiped away," the Arbiter declared firmly, her voice hard as steel. "Make her the example. None will dare defy the law again."
