Leon held himself from collapsing until he was sure that he was done, and immediately he made the final stroke, he felt a massive drain on himself. It felt as though he hadn't slept in a month or something.
His head was heavy and though his body was full of energy, he felt as though he could collapse at any moment and he might.
"It's done, how do you feel?"Leon asked as he made his laid down beside her
Since none of the proper equipment was available, he made do with the bed and a small chair in the room. Seeing his tired figure, Grace immediately shifted to the side to allow him to enter the bed properly.
"It feels weird but I can't say I am feeling anything now" Grace replied
"Your thoughts right?" Leon asked as he chuckled while fighting to keep his eyes open
"Just sleep already, your mind is drained" Grace said as she forcefully closed his eyes leading Leon to chuckle before drifting to sleep almost instantly.
Grace laid there watching him sleep without knowing how exactly to react to the young man before her. It wasn't everyday that one meets someone as special as he was.
When they had met, he was just a young boy struggling and doing his best not to get left behind by society now, he was a millionaire.
Looking at him, she was a bit jealous of him, he had everything figured out even when he had nothing but she was too hung up on daddy being a problem to actually make something of herself.
She didn't know if it was his competence that drew her towards him or if she was just naturally attracted to him but either way, she was happy as things were.
"Is this the effect of the tattoo?" Grace asked herself.
It felt weird, apart from the many little versions of her that appeared and disappeared each time she had a thought, she felt a weird sense of calm within her, almost as though she was some still lake.
She could tell, the violent sea that was her emotions had calmed down for some reason. Similar to back when Leon had drawn the temporary sigil on her but it was weirdly different.
Then it just felt as though her mind had cleared up and she had gained son level of control over her mental state but now it was as though every thought was in its right place, every stray emotion was properly categorized
Above all she felt full of energy despite an entire day of activity. She understood that she hadn't done much but it was still strange.
However despite that, she snuggled herself closer into Leon before gladly closing her eyes to sleep. Before she would have thought this to be natural but now there was a sense of shame that came along with it.
This was no different from what a child would do but would she still do it anyway? Yes she would. Later that night, Winston returned to the hotel tired and slightly dishevelled.
Leon was right, after the sale of the painting, things were indeed going smoothly but before long, the entire place became a battlefield, However, he and Webar had only heard about that over the phone.
Seeing his daughter laid comfortably with Leon, a sigh of relief filled his heart. He looked like this because he hadn't been able to find the two of them but thankfully they were here safe and sound.
