Ollie and Harry almost simultaneously drew their wands, but unlike Harry, who hesitated to cast a spell, Ollie mercilessly shot one out:
"Ollie: 'Waddiwasi!'"
An ink bottle flew up and smashed into Malfoy's chest with a whoosh. His clothes were drenched in red ink, as if stained with blood.
"Malfoy: 'Waters!'"
Malfoy looked at Ollie in disbelief and then stared down at his clothes. The collar of his shirt was embroidered with silver patterns, looking quite expensive. Now it was completely ruined.
"Ollie: 'This is a little lesson for you, to let you know what words should never be spoken!'"
Ollie said sternly:
"Ollie: 'Apologize to Hermione immediately!'"
"Malfoy: 'Me? Apologize?'"
Malfoy gritted his teeth, his face wrinkling as he drew his wand and pointed it at Ollie:
"Malfoy: 'Never!'"
"Snape: 'What's all this commotion about?'"
A deep voice sounded from behind the crowd. Snape emerged from a side corridor.
The Slytherin students were chattering, trying to explain, creating a bit of chaos. Snape looked around, his eyes pausing on Malfoy, seemingly confirming that it wasn't blood.
His gaze moved slowly from the wands pointed at each other to Ollie. He uttered a single word:
"Snape: 'Explain.'"
"Malfoy: 'It was Waters who attacked me first—'"
Malfoy shouted.
"Snape: 'I haven't asked you yet.'"
Snape cast a cold glance at him, and Malfoy had to shut his mouth.
"Ollie: 'Malfoy just called Hermione a Mudblood.'"
Ollie looked in Snape's direction. She saw Snape's face turn ashen for a moment.
"Snape: 'Is that so—Mr. Malfoy?'"
His voice was extremely low, his words slow, as if a storm was brewing.
"Snape: 'Did you say that word?'"
Malfoy was a bit panicked too. He looked at Ollie, then at Harry, and finally at Snape, as if admitting it in front of so many people was a shameful thing. So he reluctantly replied:
"Malfoy: '...Yes.'"
Snape's eyes narrowed. For a moment, Ollie even suspected Malfoy might be in mortal danger. But fortunately, the pressure quickly dissipated. However, Snape's expression remained very unpleasant.
"Snape: 'Then, ten points from Slytherin for Mr. Malfoy's use of foul language.'"
He left a cold remark and walked straight into the classroom.
The corridor fell silent, but suddenly it erupted like water poured into hot oil. The Slytherins whispered, muttering in low voices, while the Gryffindors practically shouted:
"Snape actually took points from Slytherin!"
"Malfoy got points deducted, Merlin's lace stockings..."
"Was that really Snape? Could it be someone who drank Polyjuice Potion? Maybe Fred or George?"
Even Hermione and Harry stared at Ollie with wide eyes, as if in disbelief.
Only Ollie understood how devastating that word was for Snape. Because he once uttered that word, he lost the person he loved most forever. Even ten years later, the word remained a taboo for him.
Ollie felt as if her heart was being twisted like a rag. Even though she had just avenged Hermione, why did her heart feel so bitter? She took a deep breath, forcing herself to act as usual.
She didn't want to turn and look into Harry's green eyes, so she turned to Hermione and said somewhat awkwardly:
"Ollie: 'Let's hurry into the classroom. Slytherin just lost points, and maybe the professor is waiting for a chance to deduct points from Gryffindor.'"
Hermione nodded in agreement, took her hand, and squeezed it tightly.
