Chapter 68: Trouble!
Tsunade frowned as she looked at Shizune. Her disciple had a slightly pale expression and was sweating slightly under Tsunade's gaze.
"So... the guards guarding Uchiha Sasuke are not only dead, but he also escaped... or rather, they got him out," Tsunade growled angrily. This wasn't funny to her at all. They didn't know who had done it or why. However, Sasuke was guarded by several of the best jounin, and yet they managed to kill the guards and break him out of the prison.
Sasuke's chakra was still sealed, so he shouldn't be able to use any technique to break out of his prison.
"Are there not even any clues?" Tsunade asked.
"No... I'm so sorry, Tsunade-sama," Shizune sighed regretfully.
"How long ago did this happen?"
"Based on the injuries of the deceased, the warmth of their bodies, and other indications, it shouldn't have been half an hour since their deaths."
"I want every jounin... no, every shinobi to search for him immediately!" Tsunade shouted angrily. She knew that if Sasuke escapes, the village will resent him even more. Tsunade knew that bringing him back was never a good idea. She had simply made a huge exception for Sakura and Naruto. But, apparently, it was more for Sakura.
Even if Sasuke was brought back, he still had to serve his punishments for deserting. A deserter, after all, was hunted for various reasons, but one of the most important was the village's secrets. A mere genin would already know a bit about the barriers surrounding the village, some techniques unique to Konoha, and more. Uchiha Sasuke was more dangerous in that sense, which is why he was favored by many within the village, even Hatake Kakashi.
He definitely couldn't escape again!
. . .
Outside the village, a figure was running with an annoyed expression on his face. His blue eyes were angry and cold. If he hadn't decided to be cautious and leave a small toad near Sasuke's cell every day, he wouldn't have quickly learned that he had escaped with the help of a masked man.
Based on the little toad friend's descriptions and Kurama's conclusions, he now knew that this masked man had been responsible for Kurama being expelled from his mother's seal and the subsequent attack on Konoha, along with the death of his parents. He knew Kurama was responsible for killing them, but if this unknown man hadn't appeared, nothing would have happened.
Naruto was using his Observation Haki to its fullest extent. And he could sense that Sasuke and the unknown man had appeared a few kilometers outside the village. He was curious: if the man could appear with apparent space-time ninjutsu, then why stop only kilometers outside the village?
Naruto kicked the air, and the trees shattered as he used his Celestial Steps. A shockwave shot from his feet, lifting him into the sky before descending forcefully as Sasuke and the man spoke to someone he knew.
When Naruto landed, his strength shattering the ground, he immediately used Mokuton, sending up roots that pierced Sai's legs. A pained expression appeared on the expressionless young man, and he fell to the ground, unable to get up.
"Tch!" Tobi clicked his tongue when he saw Naruto.
Naruto growled angrily and leaped forward, punching out with his Haki-coated fist. However, it ended up piercing the masked man as if he were a ghost. Sasuke immediately stepped back, glaring at Naruto.
"Naruto, that ability should be from his Mangekyou Sharingan, the evolution of the Sharingan! I remember it from that night!" Kurama exclaimed within the mindscape. Naruto just nodded and created over a hundred shadow clones as he used Shunshin, using the clones' smoke as cover while masking his presence and chakra with some nature energy.
Naruto took out his phone and sent an audio message to Harry. He was planning to buy something at the store, but he didn't have any points. The store had things from their respective worlds, but they couldn't buy things someone already had. For example, Rias couldn't buy Boosted Gear because Issei was its user. In Harry's case, it was a little different because in his world, many people used the same spell; therefore, the spells could be purchased, but for Harry, it wasn't worth it; he could learn them on his own.
Naruto could even buy Kekkei Genkai, but not the ones that still had legitimate users in his world. In this particular case, he wanted to buy Hiraishin no jutsu, which, according to Kurama, was used by his father. He still had some doubts that his father was the Fourth Hokage, but that was for another time.
So, when the 20,000 points arrived, he made the purchase immediately, gaining the information, experiences, and muscle memory necessary to perform the jutsu. At this point, he didn't need a different kunai; he simply bit his finger and began writing on three normal kunai at high speed.
When he finished, he placed his hand on the tree branch where he was standing and left a seal in case of any unforeseen events. All of this had lasted about two minutes, just as his clones had been destroyed.
Naruto didn't know if it was Tobi's arrogance, but the man didn't run away; he had decided to use his time to destroy the clones. Naruto didn't hesitate and jumped as he threw his three kunai. They all passed by Tobi as Naruto struck the mask, but his blow pierced the man once more.
But, at that moment, Tobi's eye widened in surprise as he saw Naruto disappear in a yellow flash. The blond grabbed the three kunai before throwing one at the masked man once more. At the same time, he created two clones; one was handed a kunai as the other leaped forward.
"Annoying!" Tobi growled loudly, creating a vortex that began to swallow the clone. Seeing this, Naruto used Supreme King's Haki, causing Tobi to stagger slightly and be struck by the clone.
Naruto smiled when he saw his jutsushiki engraved on the masked man's shoulder, right where he could have hit his clone. Naruto moved decisively at that moment, using the man's moment of surprise, confusion, and bewilderment to appear in front of him and plunge his kunai into his enemy's eye. Naruto had already realized that the ability had to be activated at will; it wasn't active at all times. He knew this from the amount of chakra and chakra pulses he could feel from the man's eye, in addition to the Mangekyou Sharingan being activated at all times.
"Bastard!" Tobi screamed in pain as he covered the hole in his mask, from which blood was oozing.
"Naruto, kill him now! I have a bad feeling!" Kurama yelled.
Naruto frowned and used his kunai to stab Tobi in the neck.
"NOOO!" a strange voice shouted, and Naruto watched as a strange black thing appeared from the ground. Seeing the strange being approaching them, he decided to charge his enemy and retreat to where Sai was, who was still trapped by the roots of his Mokuton.
"Kage Bunshin," Naruto muttered, creating three shadow clones. One took the now-dead masked man and the other took Sai. The last clone ran off to where Sasuke had escaped from during the fight.
"Who are you?" Naruto asked seriously. The strange being didn't seem strong, but it gave him a strange feeling; he didn't want to get too close. A disgust and hatred like he had never felt before began to rise from the depths of his soul as he watched the black mass with eyes and a mouth stretch a little before resembling a human figure.
"Uzumaki... Naruto," Black Zetsu snarled as he glared at Naruto with boundless hatred.
"I asked you who you are, you filthy bastard!!" Naruto yelled as he pointed a finger at Black Zetsu.
Zetsu stared at Naruto for what seemed like hours before returning to earth. But Naruto leaped and hit the ground, lifting heavy rocks and watching as Zetsu writhed to escape.
"You'd better leave me alone, Uzumaki Naruto! You won't achieve anything by capturing me! You can't fight the past!!"
"You're wrong about that! After all, I have no intention of capturing you!" Naruto growled as he grabbed Zetsu, using all of his spiritual energy and nature energy currently at his disposal. He had already sensed that Zetsu was a strange being created from spiritual energy and some kind of will. Figuring this out wasn't that difficult once he knew about Haki, which relied on the wielder's will and spiritual energy.
Naruto then decided to use the full power of his Supreme King Haki.
Black Zetsu's body seemed to turn into some kind of jelly and couldn't move. No matter how he tried to form a shape, it simply looked like grease on the ground. However, he had to use seals before enclosing Zetsu in a scroll.
"You'd better leave him alone, Uzumaki Naruto."
Yes, Naruto had already sensed presences approaching. Now he was surrounded by shinobi who looked like ANBU, but they didn't have a shred of emotion in them.
"Shimura Danzo..." Naruto muttered as he saw the old shinobi walking toward him before stopping a few feet away.
"Who's going to stop me? You?"
Shimura Danzo showed no emotion; he simply moved his hand to the bandages over his right eyes. When that part of his face became apparent, Naruto frowned as he saw a Sharingan in his right eye socket.
"You're really underestimating me if you think you can defeat me with a Sharingan," Naruto laughed lightly, mocking the older man. In fact, he disappeared in a yellow flash to the clone he had sent with Tobi, right in Tsunade's office.
"Naruto?!"
"There's no time!" Naruto grabbed Tsunade before disappearing and returning to Danzo. It only took two seconds, and Danzo couldn't react enough to move away.
"Danzo!" Tsunade shouted, but stopped when she saw the sharingan in his right eye.
"Be careful, he might have a Mangekyou there," Naruto warned seriously. "I would recommend looking from his neck down."
"What are you doing, Danzo?!" Tsunade asked angrily. She could see the Root shinobi everywhere. It was clear the old man wanted to attack Naruto, but she didn't know the exact reason.
In reality, Danzo already knew about Zetsu, Akatsuki, Tobi, and much more. But if Zetsu died, then he wouldn't be able to continue receiving information and continuing his hidden dealings. He couldn't let such a thing go!
Danzo pursed his lips, showing how dissatisfied he felt.
"Attack," with that order, Root leaped toward the Hokage and Naruto.
"You're coming a hundred years early!" Naruto shouted angrily. He'd had enough of this stuff. For the first time since receiving the group chat, he felt completely enraged and decided to let go of his restraints; he wasn't willing to let any enemy go.
His chakra exploded out of him as the ground split and a bluish aura was expelled from his body as his Supreme King's Haki kicked in. The grass flattened as the earth trembled; the skies darkened, and thunder roared like enraged, hungry dragons hiding among the clouds.
Tsunade felt a chill run down her spine as she looked behind her, seeing Naruto, but she also seemed to see two silhouettes of men with their arms crossed and enormous dignity.
"Mokuton... !" That single word sparked surprise in Tsunade and Danzo, especially when they saw a colossal wooden figure emerge from the ground and lift Naruto up.
"Mokuryuu no jutsu!" The enormous wooden dragon opened its mouth and roared as it surged forward, tearing the Root shinobi to pieces. Blood exploded and rained down on the battlefield near Konoha.
Naruto was so angry that he didn't even think about leaving a single shinobi alive except for Tsunade. First, there was the encounter that had been responsible for the release of Kurama and, therefore, the death of his parents. His escape from Sasuke, the appearance of that being that caused him tremendous disgust and hatred. And finally, Danzo appearing. Naruto was annoyed like he'd never been; he was stressed and angry.
And he would use every single one of these bastards to release all that stress!
"Fuuton: Shinkuu Renpa!" Danzo formed hand seals and spat hundreds of wind blades from his mouth, shooting straight at the dragon's head. But each of them only caused shallow cuts as the dragon continued to advance toward him.
"The boy is really angry..." Kurama muttered in surprise. He never expected to see Naruto so angry. But after a few seconds, he smiled.
"Fine; so be it... I'll help you," Kurama smiled as he released his chakra, striking the barrier that kept him sealed. The mindscape began to shake, and Naruto appeared, staring at Kurama with a frown.
"What do you want, Kurama?"
Kurama smiled and extended his fist.
"Smash them, boy."
Naruto blinked and stared at Kurama for a few moments before smiling tightly and slamming his fist into Kurama's. The Bijuu didn't need the seal to be removed for what it wanted to do. It simply needed to transfer a large amount of its chakra to Naruto and help him gain some control.
Outside the mindscape, Naruto was surrounded by a red chakra that seemed to be boiling. His body was enveloped in chakra as six tails appeared on his back. However, he didn't keep this cloak on his person. Instead, he stepped on the wooden dragon's head and transferred all that chakra while trying to control it with Kurama's help.
When the dragon opened its mouth, a dark purple sphere was found inside before it exploded forward. As before, neither of them needed the control gained to remove the seal within the mindscape; simply enough to form the chakra sphere and make it explode forward.
The dragon's roar fired a beam of concentrated chakra that directed from right to left, obliterating the forest in front of Naruto. The remaining Anbu were slaughtered as Danzo died once more.
Tsunade could only watch as Naruto unleashed all his anger on the root Anbu and Danzo. She was too shocked to say anything. She had already assumed that Naruto had brought her here so that Danzo wouldn't accuse him of an attack on his person if she escaped.
"Tsunade, behind you!" Naruto roared, managing to wake Tsunade, who struck with her elbow on instinct. She looked back when she felt something; she saw Danzo alive, but immediately shifted her gaze to Danzo's chest, not wanting to look at his right eye by mistake.
At the same time, Kakashi appeared, being transported by a Naruto clone before the latter disappeared again. The copy-nin frowned immediately; he wasn't in the best condition to fight yet, but he understood that the enemy was Danzo.
"Watch out for his right eye, Kakashi-sensei! He has a Mangekyou!"
With just those words, Kakashi turned serious.
Danzo had a frown on his face; first Naruto, then Tsunade, and now, Kakashi was joining in to fight him. His chances weren't good, and he knew it. Besides, all of his shinobi who had come were now dead.
