Chapter 22 - Building a house

The Primordial Rogue, also known as Guy Crimson, felt something powerful emerge into the cardinal world.

His brows furrowed, he could sense six to seven beings with a large amount of magicules, and three of them had a terrifying amount, almost an infinite amount of magicules.

Now it wasn't all that rare for low-powerful beings to be born, but it was rare for three immensely powerful beings to be born in the cardinal world or appear without the detection of Dino or the other Angels.

Guy Crimson wondered if that would affect the balance of the world and if it would, he would need to act.

As he was contemplating, a set of footsteps was heard coming behind his throne; he didn't need to turn around to know who it was. "What do you think of our Visitors, Velzard? They seem more interesting than that slime."

Velzard stopped by Guy Crimson's side and furrowed her brows. "One of their auras feels like that of a True Dragon's Haki."

Guy's crimson brows furrowed, and he gently sighed. "Let's be smart about this, let's go see if they are any threat to us."

Velzard nodded, looking out into the distance in thought.

In Tempest, Rimuru sat lazily in the open garden of his castle, the warm sunlight shimmering off his slimy body as he flipped through a manga with a grin. Beside him, Veldora was dramatically recounting one of his favorite battle scenes from their shared manga collection, his booming laughter shaking the table.

"And then the hero slashes through the heavens themselves!" Veldora declared proudly, swinging his arm like a sword.

Milim—who was supposed to be "helping" him—was instead devouring a mountain of sweets Ramiris had conjured.

"Veldoraaa~ you always tell that story! It's sooo boring now!" Milim pouted, cheeks puffed out like a hamster.

Rimuru chuckled. "Yeah, yeah, maybe you two should just make your own manga. 'The Dragon and the Child Emperor.'"

"Hey! I'd totally be the main character!" Milim protested, slamming the table.

"Obviously, I'd be the protagonist," Veldora shot back with a smug grin. "You'd be my sidekick."

Before Rimuru could intervene, Ramiris darted between them in a flash of light. "Guys, guys! Stop fighting! Something's weird going on in the magicules around the world!"

Rimuru blinked, sensing for himself. The air had changed—an undercurrent of energy rippled across the cardinal world like a tidal wave. It wasn't chaotic or hostile… but heavy, ancient.

He stood up slowly, closing the manga. "You're right. I feel it too. This… isn't normal. It's like several immensely powerful beings just appeared out of nowhere."

Veldora's grin vanished, replaced with curiosity. "Hoh? Powerful, you say?" His golden eyes gleamed dangerously. "Perhaps a new challenger?"

Milim licked her fingers clean, suddenly serious. "That energy… it feels weirdly familiar. Like dragons, but also not."

Rimuru frowned. "You mean like Veldora?"

Milim nodded excitedly and stood up. "Yeah let's go check it out."

Before Rimiru could refute, Milim grabbed his arms and both of them flew out the window within a single motion and....

Ramiris and Veldora looked at each other for a moment, dumbfounded before they too followed them.

Manaka turned to his sister and Homura and spoke. "So should I place my bubble world here? I could probably build a house in a few hours though."

Madoka smiled and replied. "Manaka, why don't you just build a huge mansion, and we can all stay there? We can help you."

Homura turned to look at Madoka with her usual expression. "It depends on whether nobody attacks us; this world could be more dangerous than ours."

Manaka shrugged and decided to build a mansion instead of placing his World Bubble in the real world. "I mean, if three of us work together, we can probably do it in a few minutes."

"What do you mean, three of you? What about us?"Sayaka asked while pouting.

Kyoko crossed her arms and looked at the three. "Come on, don't leave us out of helping you."

Mami hummed. "They are right."

Manaka shrugged and then snapped his fingers. "I mean, sure, if you really want to, but I don't think your help is really going to matter unless you can willfully create structures with your imagination."

Both Kyoko and Sayaka glared at him.

Manaka raised his hands in mock surrender and backed up a little. "Though we do appreciate the thought, why don't you guys just go and test your new abilities or something?"

Mami, who was on the ground, sitting, stood up and brushed off her skirt. "Well then, girls, let's go have some fun, you too, Nagisa. Homura, Madoka, and Manaka can handle things here."

Sayaka smirked. "Fun, huh? Sounds like you're planning to test out your new tricks, Mami-senpai."

Kyoko cracked her knuckles. "Good idea. I'm itching to see just how much stronger we've gotten since… y'know, ascending."

With a small wave, the four of them took off, their figures streaking into the horizon like glimmers of magic and light.

Manaka exhaled softly, watching them go. "They're like children with fireworks…"

Madoka giggled behind her hand. "You sound like an old man, Manaka."

Homura crossed her arms, her violet eyes scanning the distant skyline. "Old man or not, he's right. This world's composition is strange, but it shouldn't be a problem."

Manaka nodded slightly, his bronze eyes glowing as he extended a hand forward. The ground beneath him rippled like a liquid mirror, and space itself began to distort around them.

"Then let's make this place a little more… comfortable," he murmured.

Before their eyes, the land started to bend and shape itself — marble floors rose from the grass, crystalline walls spiraled upward, and a floating mansion began to assemble piece by piece, powered by Manaka's imagination and Madoka's divine energy. Homura added her own touch, twisting time slightly so that the construction process accelerated a thousandfold.

In less than a minute, a grand structure stood before them — a shimmering palace that seemed to exist between dream and reality. The mansion glowed faintly with soft pink and violet hues, the air around it humming with otherworldly harmony.

Madoka looked satisfied, clasping her hands together. "Perfect! It feels… peaceful."

Homura tilted her head. "For now."

Manaka smirked. "Then let's put up some protection, just in case anyone decides to get too curious."

With a wave of his hand, the sky above shimmered like a bubble — an invisible dome expanding outward. Magical sigils, glowing faintly red and silver, embedded themselves in the air.

Homura felt the energy pulse through the world. "Barrier complete?"

Manaka nodded. "Yeah, non hostile creatures can enter but the hostile ones will instantly get repelled...though the pink is a little bit too much."

Madoka rolled her eyes with a smile on her lips. "It's not that bad, i just added a few crystal lights to make the place livelier."

Manaka shrugged and didn't talk further into it, instead he turned to Homura. "I saw you placed your labyrinth in there too."

"Yeah what of it?." She asked passively.

"Nothing much, I just thought you wouldn't really place your witch's labyrinth in another world, i mean what if it got destroyed, wouldn't you get affected." He asked casually.

Homura thought for a second before replying. "No not really, I can just create another one and the only way for my labyrinth to be destroyed is when someone enters it and destroys it from the inside."

Just as he was about speaking, Manaka turned towards the sky, a small smile graced his face. "Oh? It seems like we have some visitors."
