What has exactly changed, Sayaka was a bit confused, of course she did feel stronger but that was not it.
It was Manaka, ever since he became strong he began to feel distant, different even...but he was still inherently the same, still she wondered what exactly felt different.
Manaka was smiling with them all the time, teasing them but the last two years she had realised that there was something bothering him and even though he doesn't want to share it she still has the right to know?!.
Both her and Kyoko practically are like his wives at this point so hiding things between one another is toxic.
As she was feeling determined Kyoko came behind her with her hands ready and pulled her cheeks. "What'cha thinking about Sayaka, do you miss Manaka already?."
Sayaka grabbed Kyokos arms in irritation and separated it from her cheeks. "Give me a break Kyoko, I was just thinking about how Manaka was keeping some things from us...he seems much more distant ever since the incident that happened two years ago."
Kyoko blinked and then thought for a moment, ever since Manaka got out from their universe he had been acting strange. "That Yog girl isn't here, that's probably why."
Yog...that enigmatic..thing that has spent far much more time with them than Manaka, she was an interesting girl but Manaka doesn't actually see her as a romantic partner...instead he gives her the same gaze as he does to Homura, Charlotte and Madoka, like sisters.
He didn't see her as someone who should get into a relationship with but someone who he could rely on, a sister outside his own who had spent far more time than his actual sister.
Sayaka finally got it. "I think Manaka needs some sisterly love which means him and Madoka need to have a talk, I am pretty sure they don't do it that much anymore."
Kyoko nodded in agreement. "Yeah and twins should understand each other right? So let's convince them to talk, I am sure Homura would allow it."
Listening to their words, Mami chuckled, it was nice having her friends with her again...though she did remember what she did in the past timelines, shooting Kyokos soul gem, Breaking down over the truth of being witches...Holy Mami.
Despite all those timelines though, they still did not forget about her or even hate her, everyone in the group had someone to love and she had Charlotte to love or Bebe since she was not in her human form, she was like a daughter to her actually.
As she was thinking that, she raised her arms and a gun appeared above her, without needing to pull the trigger physically she shot towards a creature who had been staring at them for quite a while.
BANG.
The rifles bullet hit and the from the tall trees, the corpse of an unusually large spider fell and twitched on the ground, green blood spewing from where it got shot–which was its head.
Kyoko and Sayaka turned to look at the creature and immediately got on guard, Sayaka summoned her saber and held it confidently.
Kyoko summoned her spear, looking at the forest around them curiously.
"Oh Dear, it seems some spiders have seen us." Mami said with a chuckle as she summoned two rifles onto her hand. "This is the perfect time to test our new skills."
Within a second the group dispersed and began to fight it all out, the Arachnids weren't a challenge for them.
Kyoko who already had impressive Stamina and strength swinger her spear with more ferocity than she usually does, her unique skill [Hungers Rebellion.] Transformed her energy into Battle power which undoubtedly increased her strength. Two curved crimson horns of Battle power appeared on her head as she cut down her enemies like a fierce Oni.
Sayaka's attacks were a mix of throwing her savers and using them both with her arms, creating an impenetrable barrier of swords that attacked all enemies within a circle of five metres around her.
Mami was using her full abilities unlike the other two, she would use her ribbons to capture a large number of the crawling giant spiders and shoot them all simultaneously.
She jumped onto a tree and discarded the guns in her arms, she waved her arms and five rifles appeared suspended above her.
The spiders were utterly decimated by the girls for the next few minutes...
