It was close to afternoon when Charlotte knocked and entered Layla's room to notice her daughter fully engrossed in her exam prep, barely noticing her presence. Shaking her head, she went ahead and handed over the glass of juice.
"You don't have to burden yourself so much, dear; take some rest." Layla almost gasped, suddenly hearing her. Poor her just got jump-scared by her own mother. She smiled at her and accepted the glass.
Anna had been helping her throughout the day, taking the role of looking after her kids, even when she had rejected her offer respectfully. Jenny had also joined them, looking after their babies, making sure Layla could study well.
Layla's heart bubbled up with nothing but gratefulness and love, seeing the way these two persons always stood by her side, sometimes going way and beyond to make sure she doesn't face trouble.
