Michael now wanted to go back home and right now it was Layla, the only person he trusted the most, the reason for him to act like a child and hold onto her. After exchanging a few pleasantries on their way back, Layla finally entered the car and Michael just rested his head on her lap.
She didn't mind at all. Caressing his head, she let him fall asleep in her embrace. But her thoughts kept daunting her. How was she going to manage her studies, her kids, and now the grand Perkinston Corps all at the same time?
The weeks passed by and there was not even any progress in Michael's health, something which was concerning. Every time Layla would try to bring up any topic from their past and try to encourage Michael to remember, a headache would occur, making Michael feel immense pain to the point he fainted.
