"These are the files, Sir," the investigator said quietly, placing a thick folder on the table in front of Mason.
They sat in the quiet back office of a small café tucked away from the city lights. Mason hadn't said a word since he walked in. His eyes, sharp and unreadable, were fixed on the folder.
"How long have you been following him?" Mason finally asked.
"Seven months. I took my time. I wanted to be sure."
Mason opened the folder slowly, each page revealing something worse than the last, false signatures, dummy accounts, large-scale fund diversions hidden under shell companies. His jaw tightened.
"So Nicholas has been bleeding the company dry... and using offshore links to hide them," Mason said in a cold, low voice.
"Yes. And there's more." The investigator pulled out a small flash drive. "This contains the communication logs between Nicholas and two international names.
