[North Beach - Guard Captain's Log]

"Now that Valt is so close to the Continents, trade between the island and foreign visitors is at an all time high.

Our Island has grown since the days of my youth, the atmosphere has lightened, still the elite guard remain vigilant of any and all potential threats.

Soldiers of Akram have let slip in drunken stupors of how Akram's neighbors have taken notice and of trade between Valt and Akram. Some covet the betterment of our trade partners, and desire the same gifts and fruits bestowed.

Our lack of eyes and ears in the continents may prove costly.

Just some months ago a so-called Stowaway was found within the ship of a trade partner.

Other than that general defense against those who'd wish us harm is well.

In Conclusion, Since The Black 6 years ago, Valt's name has spread like wildfire throughout the greater continents, lighting the hearts of potential friends and foes alike.

It may be in the best interest of our family to look forward now."

[Report Received]

At a temple under a vast stary sky a family sat eating dinner.

"Interesting" A large man spoke.

"What is it father?" A young woman asked.

"A letter from your brother."

"Ah from Kenny, what does it say?"

"It says that the increase of trade with our allies has made Valta the target of prying eyes in the continents. That it might be in our best interest to defuse the situation before it gets out of hand. But how may we defuse the greed in the hearts of men?"

"Oh, I see… and nothing of the birds?" she said.

"Ha ha, no, unfortunately not… Hey Reon, what do you think?"

A Kid sitting next to his mother eating looked up from his plate towards his grandfather.

"About what grandpa?" Reon asked not having been paying much attention.

"Oh, so, if someone wanted something that was yours, what would you do?" Ren asked.

After thinking on it for a little bit the kid had an answer, "I would give it to them." he said, then refocusing on his food.

Ren's eyes lost focus for a moment, "Ah, and if you could not? What if you could not just give it to them?"

Reon gazed at his grandpa's eyes whilst chewing his last bite of food, waiting to finish before answering.

Once done Reon explained, putting a his palm up. "Then I would let them borrow it, then they would give it back to me."

"I see." said Ren with a smile.
