---------------------------------

As endless streams of sand swept across the battlefield, the figure that had once been engulfed in the sandstorm gradually emerged—Garchomp. And now, it looked entirely different.

Its already powerful body, which had stood over two meters tall, had grown even larger, resembling a true behemoth. Its color had subtly changed too—what was once pure white now shimmered with a faint golden glow, giving it a dazzling, awe-inspiring presence.

Its size had increased significantly. The shark-like tail behind it had grown longer, swaying side to side and stirring up whirlwinds of sand.

The dorsal fin on its back had extended as well, turning into something as sharp as a blade. What was once a single notch in the fin had now multiplied into several jagged gaps of various sizes, making it look even more menacing.

Where there had once been sparse bony protrusions on its body, now several rows had formed. Sharp bone spikes jutted upright from both sides of its chest and the knees of its powerful legs. Under the sunlight, they reflected blinding rays of light.

Then came the change to its head. Garchomp's once sleek, streamlined head was now squared and angular. Its jaws were wider and more powerful, filled with rows of razor-sharp fangs.

But the most dramatic transformation was in its twin arm fins. Once shaped like ordinary shark fins, they had become longer and sharper, resembling two massive scythes. These scythe-like fins were still Garchomp's most devastating weapons. Any enemy that came before them would be torn to shreds.

"It really evolved?! That Garchomp can still evolve even further… this is unbelievable..."

President Damaranchi, hiding behind a boulder, stared at the drastically transformed Garchomp in astonishment.

"This kid seems to be hiding quite a few secrets… Maybe we should ask him later… heh, I doubt he'll refuse us."

The King of the Four, Grand Elder Puda, gazed coldly at Garchomp and Liam, a hint of threat in his tone.

"Hmph. I'd advise you to show some respect when the time comes. Otherwise, you might find yourself facing more than just one opponent."

At Puda's words, Elite Four Kikuko snorted coldly and turned her sharp gaze back toward him, her tone less than friendly.

"Heh, just a joke. No need to be so sensitive. The battle's about to resume—let's just enjoy the show."

Hearing her, Puda knew Kikuko wasn't bluffing. If he really pulled anything after the match, he'd have to face both a former Champion and a current Elite Four member—definitely not an easy situation. Better to wait and reassess... He smiled at Kikuko while hiding his unease.

Kikuko gave him a meaningful glance, then turned away, her focus returning to the battle that was starting once more.

"Professor Oak! This is the full extent of my and Garchomp's power—transcending our own limits to evolve once again!"

Liam beamed with excitement as he shouted to Professor Oak. He stepped forward sharply, his right arm slicing through the air in front of him—and in perfect synchronization, Garchomp mirrored the move.

Garchomp also took a bold step, its right scythe-like fin sweeping forward. As the blade tip brushed the ground, streams of fine sand spiraled around it. Their movements were perfectly in sync. If Professor Oak looked closely, he'd see—Liam and Garchomp's eyes were exactly the same in that moment!

"I never would've imagined… Garchomp could evolve again. This is completely unprecedented! Liam, you truly surprise me... But! As strong as Garchomp looks now—my Dragonite isn't about to lose! Let's finish what we started!"

Professor Oak looked at Garchomp in amazement, sensing a completely different aura than before. A smile slowly formed on his face, and his bright eyes gleamed with the thrill of battling a formidable opponent.

"Then we won't hold back! Garchomp—let Professor Oak witness your strength now! Charge in with Dragon Claw!"

Liam's face lit up with excitement. He could feel the powerful bond between him and Garchomp—he saw the world through Garchomp's eyes, and within his body, a surge of boundless energy. At that moment, Liam and Garchomp had become one.

"Graooar!!"

A much deeper roar echoed out. Garchomp pounded forward, not particularly fast, but every step heavy and deliberate, each one imprinting into the swirling sand beneath its feet. As it advanced, the sand climbed up its body, gathering behind it to form a pair of massive wings—claws made entirely of sand. The Sand Claw Wings burst open, and Garchomp's speed exploded! With both scythe-fins gleaming with condensed Dragon Claw energy, it surged forward in a sandstorm toward the Dragonite standing before Professor Oak!

"Dragonite!! Meet it head-on with Thunder Punch!"

"Roooar!!"

Dragonite, already eager for action, charged in as soon as Oak gave the command. Lightning surged around its right fist as it launched a full-force strike straight at Garchomp's claws.

The two collided again—Dragon Claw versus Thunder Punch—a head-on clash!

But this time, the outcome was completely different.

Garchomp only used its left scythe to block Dragonite's punch. Even with just one arm, it stopped Dragonite cold. Then its right scythe soared upward—striking down like a bolt of lightning on Dragonite's left arm, which had been wreathed in fire to block the attack. A sharp crack rang out, and Dragonite groaned in pain as it was sent flying.

"Huh? Has the power gap grown that wide already...? Looks like Dragonite's energy got drained too much earlier... This can't go on. Dragonite! Use Agility!"

Oak looked shocked as Dragonite was knocked back. He could see that the power difference after Garchomp's evolution was now significant. Further strength-based confrontations would no longer favor his Dragonite.

"Roooaaar!!"

Dragonite winced, clutching its wounded left arm. But upon receiving Oak's command, it quickly unfurled its wings—and in an instant, vanished from view, reappearing and disappearing all across the battlefield in blinding bursts of speed.

"Catch it, Garchomp! Use Sand Tomb!"

Liam narrowed his eyes, tracking Dragonite's flickering form, then shouted up at Garchomp.

"Graaooo!"

Responding to the call, Garchomp's eyes lit up. It roared, and its Sand Claw Wings expanded wide, transforming into two monstrous dragon claws that stabbed into the shattered ground! A strange vibration pulsed through the arena!

"Dragonite! Fly up—get out of there!"

Seeing the strange terrain and Garchomp's ominous moves, Oak immediately shouted a warning.

Dragonite instantly halted its movements and tried to ascend—but just as it took to the air, tendrils of sand burst from cracks in the ground like ropes, coiling around its limbs and wings, locking it in place and stopping its flight.

Then more streams of sand erupted from fissures all across the battlefield! In the blink of an eye, the entire arena was engulfed in a swirling hellscape of sand—this wasn't just a surface-level Sand Tomb, but a massive trap dragging Dragonite into its center!
