In just twenty minutes, Team Rocket had been almost completely devastated by Eddie single-handedly.
Although Eddie's combat effectiveness was extraordinarily powerful, many of his Pokemon were exhausted after expending such tremendous energy in such a brief timeframe.
As for the mega evolved Pokemon, they had all returned to their original forms.
Greninja still maintained its Bond Evolution appearance, though it also appeared quite fatigued.
However, no one dared underestimate Eddie's Pokemon. Everyone had witnessed clearly how spectacular their achievements were in those mere twenty minutes.
Team Rocket had prepared more than eighty Pokemon for battle, but now only a handful remained standing.
The surviving Pokemon were all Peak-level opponents, but they appeared heavily scarred and battered.
In twenty minutes, seven Pokemon had defeated over seventy Pokemon. What a terrifying combat record.
Both Green and the remaining Team Rocket operatives were completely stunned by this display.
Green felt relatively fine since Eddie was her ally. Although she was also shocked, she felt more secretly pleased in her heart.
As for why she felt secretly pleased... well, that's easy to guess.
But regarding Team Rocket, everyone looked at Eddie as if they were observing some prehistoric monster. Many operatives were so frightened they sat on the ground with weakened legs, unable to stand up.
"Is this... is this why the Third Executive warned us never to provoke him? Is he really just an Peak-level trainer..." the division captain muttered in disbelief.
The division captain possessed the strongest combat capabilities among his team. He had three Pokemon - Tauros, Jynx, and Weezing - all Elite-level Pokemon, but even so, the injuries sustained by these three Pokemon were severe.
The division captain had no intention of continuing this battle and desperately wanted to turn around and flee immediately.
However, he didn't dare attempt escape, not only because his legs were too weak to run, but also because he feared being struck down by Eddie's Pokemon from behind.
If he was defeated here, he would face imprisonment at worst, and Team Rocket might even attempt a jailbreak to retrieve him later.
But if Eddie's Pokemon struck him while fleeing, he would end up either dead or permanently disabled.
Hadn't he witnessed what happened to the trainer who tried to escape earlier, whose Pokemon couldn't protect him in time?
Those people were now either dead or crippled, and the division captain had no desire to meet such a fate.
"Speaking of which, you're the 'generous soul' who just declared you would show mercy and let me go," Eddie addressed the division captain with an extremely disdainful sneer.
"I'll return those words to you. If you surrender obediently, I will show mercy and let you depart. How does that sound?"
He returned the division captain's earlier words almost verbatim.
Given the current battle situation, when Eddie spoke these words, they seemed perfectly natural.
Upon hearing this, the captain's face displayed anger, but it wasn't merely rage from humiliation - it also contained fear and slight relief.
Indeed, he no longer dared to continue fighting, and Eddie's humiliating words meant nothing to him now. Compared to dignity, survival was far more important.
However, Eddie wouldn't allow him to escape so easily.
Just as the division captain was about to shout the word "surrender," Eddie cut off his hope first.
"By the way, I despise people like you, especially your attempt to insult my dignity as a trainer just now," Eddie declared coldly.
The division captain sensed trouble approaching and desperately tried to shout his surrender, but how could Eddie grant him such mercy?
"I refuse to become as despicable as you, so I'll retract what I said earlier. I must respect the principles of being a trainer. Even though you're so contemptible, there's nothing wrong with upholding trainer values, so..."
"Wait! I..." the captain began desperately.
Before the division captain could complete his surrender, Solar Beam, Fire Blast, and Hydro Pump had already struck his three Pokemon.
"Therefore, I shouldn't encourage your surrender, but must give my absolute best effort," Eddie concluded as the division captain's fate was sealed.
The tremendous power of these combined attacks instantly knocked the division captain's Pokemon unconscious, while the aftermath also struck the captain himself, blasting him a considerable distance.
The man's arms and legs were twisted at unnatural angles - it appeared he would be bedridden for the remainder of his life.
"Mr. Morning Sun! We're here to provide support! Where is Team Rocket..." Erika, Rainbow City's Gym Leader, finally arrived at the battlefield.
This performance, reminiscent of certain movie characters who arrive late after everything is completely finished, made Eddie roll his eyes in exasperation.
After Erika had rushed back to Rainbow City, she immediately organized various response efforts, then hurried to the location Eddie had previously reported.
She discovered numerous Team Rocket operatives frozen and bound by Eddie, then noticed the trail markers Eddie had left. After several detours, they finally reached this battlefield.
Consequently, Erika arrived at the battle site just in time to see many Team Rocket members scattered across the ground. She had been worried whether Eddie could handle the situation alone.
Instead, she found Eddie completely unharmed while Team Rocket operatives lay groaning on the ground around him.
"You finally arrived, but the matter is already concluded," Eddie said to Erika in a rather unpleasant tone, appearing somewhat dissatisfied.
Honestly, Erika's mission objective had been to assist him in eliminating Team Rocket's presence in Rainbow City.
Instead, nearly all Team Rocket forces in Rainbow City had been eliminated by Eddie single-handedly.
Erika's role had been reduced to cleanup work and logistics. Could this really be called assistance?
Please - it was obvious that Eddie had destroyed the entire enemy army alone. As for handling the aftermath and cleanup duties, anyone could manage those tasks adequately.
Therefore, Eddie had legitimate reasons for his dissatisfaction.
