Chapter 69 - Did you have to scare him

A decade passed by in the blink of an eye and before everyone knew it Taiyi had spent most of the ten years in the fire realm binding with his daughter and his wife. Tie Ling had successfully ascended to godhood with the guidance of Taiyi and Taiyi made sure to take good care of her and to spoil her just like in the mortal realm. On this day, the trio were having dinner in the mortal realm. With all the changes in the heavenly realm, Taiyi decided to have a short vacation with his family and to spend a few years in the mortal realm as mortals. As they were busy having dinner, a troupe of celestial soldiers consisting of twenty five soldiers appeared next to them. After their appearance, all movements in the restaurant suddenly slowed down and it could be seen that time had come to a stop. Taiyi did not mind any of this rather he continued to dine comfortably with his family as he waved his hands signalling for the guards to keep their mouth shut and to excuse them. The celestial guards did not dare to disobey so they just retreated and stood behind Taiyi as they watched Taiyi dine with his family. They had already recognised the queen of the fire realm. The relationship between the duo had already spread far and wide and it was no longer just baseless rumours. It was no longer a hidden secret that Taiyi and Feng Jiu were now officially a couple a news which had sparked a lot of chaos in the heavenly realm and most officials had debated on it at some point but no matter what happened Taiyi did not pay heed to any of this. He even went as far as to appoint little fox to take over his position as the lord of the purple palace a move which caused many of the heavenly officials to complain but Taiyi paid no heed to them. He used this as an opportunity to send a message to these officials that he was the one who restored the order of all the realms and these laws that they were trying to bind him with were created by him so he was above those laws. The realms have been at peace for too long and in order to establish that peace Taiyi had to create a system of administration governed by rules and he successfully did so but it had far many ramifications than he expected. At first the officials were happy but later they used these laws to try and bind him and to also take over some of his powers which was why Taiyi refused to follow all those rules even though he was the one who set them. After Taiyi finished his dinner, he waved his hands and the guards disappeared." I'll be back in a day or so," Taiyi said as he also disappeared. He found the celestial soldiers in the purple palace. He then dismissed them as he sat on his throne with a smile on his face. After sitting down, Taiyi started brewing tea as he waited for his first disciple ,Lord Fox, to inform him of the reason for requesting for his presence. "You have the time it takes for this tea to boil to inform me of what is necessary or what you have in mind," Taiyi said with a smile on his face as he stared at Little fox. Little fox saw this and immediately started his narration of the latest happenings in the heavenly realm." Master, an army has been noticed from a far by our scouts and it I'd reported that in two years they would reach our borders. The enemies have decided to go all out and engage in a decisive battle. We would like to seek your opinion?" Little fox said making sure to keep it brief and leave out all the unnecessary parts as he knew that Taiyi was definitely not interested in them. He tried to observe Taiyi's reactions but he only displayed a picture of calmness." Summon all the commanders on the battlefield and all the rulers of the realms. I will be back in after a few minutes," Taiyi said as he disappeared. Little fox was disappointed and Taiyi's lack of reaction but he did not dare to complain so he only did as told and summoned the people that he was told to summon. As soon as the message was sent out, the realms were thrown in chaos and all the rulers were worried and distressed as they didn't know why Taiyi suddenly decided to summon them at such a point. Most of them knew of the reason after asking around after all the intelligence network of these leaders could not be underestimated. The last time such a meeting was held most of these leaders were present and at that time Taiyi had just united all the realms and forced the various rulers into submission. While all of these were ongoing, Taiyi himself and already gone back to the mortal realm only to find someone flirting with his wife." Excuse me miss. It seems you are new around here, " a chubby short man asked while staring at Feng Jiu trying his best to act as a gentleman but he was not cut out for playing such a role. Just staring at him made Tie Ling to feel disgusted. Due to the fact that Tie Ling had grown up in the mortal realm, it could be said that she had grown up much faster than most children in the heavenly realm due to the difference in flow of time. If one did not know better one might assume that she was Feng Jiu's sister as they looked alike and also due to the fact that as one's cultivation progresses, time barely leaves a mark on their face so although Feng Jiu was many thousand years old, no one could assess her age due to the fact that she had retained her looks as a teenager." How did you know?" Feng Jiu asked coldly." Beauties such as yourselves are a rare occurrence so it is not that hard to identify that you are new," the chubby man said. Feng Jiu just lightly smiled at this but this smile seemed to have made things worse. When the man saw the smile on Feng Jiu's lips, he was enchanted and at a loss. He nervously gulped down the saliva in his mouth and tried to regain his bearing as he tried to hide his lustful gaze. He stared at Feng Jiu unscrupulously not hiding his heated gaze. It was as if he wished to strip her naked right there but he held himself back. That was when Taiyi arrived and happened to see another man flirting with his wife. Upon seeing this Taiyi walked closer to Feng Jiu and wrapped his hands round her waist as he pulled her closer to him." Thank you for entertaining my wife," Taiyi said as he stared at Feng Jiu who had her head lowered. Meanwhile Tie Ling just stared at her parents and then turned around as he did for want to get involved in their little drama. Seeing Taiyi holding the woman of his dreams in his arms, the chubby man was both angry and envious and he felt like killing Taiyi. Taiyi sensed this and stared at the chubby man. The chubby man stared back at Taiyi and for a moment he felt a cold killing intent envelop him. His back was drenched in sweat as he hurriedly excused himself." He's only a mortal did you have to scare him in such a manner?" Feng Jiu whispered to Taiyi. What she received was not an answer that she expected. Taiyi waved his hands and stopped the flow of time before planting a kiss on Feng Jiu's lips.
