Lydia's ears twitched at this, and she tilted her head to look at them.
"Aurelia? That's such a nice name. You don't see a lot of people answering to that."
"I had a cousin with that name. We always asked her mother how she came to think of that name, and guess what she always said?"
"Why do we have to ask you to know?" one of them grumbled.
"Shut it and ask."
"Fine, what did she say?"
"Said she was dreaming and came upon the Moon Goddess. Saw the name engraved somewhere near the Goddess and knew it was going to be her daughter's name."
The girls instantly went silent. A moment later, they exchanged quiet glances between each other before they burst out laughing.
The maid telling the story stared at them in confusion, unable to tell if they were impressed by it or mocking her.
After a while of listening to them laugh without saying a word to let her know why, she couldn't keep it in any longer and huffed.
"That's enough. Tell me why you're laughing right now!"
