Chapter 190 - Chapter 190: The God Amatsu-Mikaboshi

This was not just an intrusion. This was a declaration.

The world of charm shaped by Lance's magic—an internal reality that should have been entirely under his control—trembled violently, as if pierced from the outside by a foreign yet absolute force. That power surged wildly, burning layers of reality with an aura that could only be described by one word:

Divine.

Lance's face hardened, his jaw clenched tightly. His heart raced irregularly, like a war drum played by the gods. He immediately activated the God of War Cloth. In an instant, heavenly battle armor enveloped Lance's body—its metallic sheen like the sun erupting from the dawn of death.

That aura… was not human.

It was at least Planetary-Level. Perhaps even more.

And what was more terrifying—far more terrifying than Amenadiel back then.

The wind howled from all directions. It was as if the atmosphere rejected the existence of this coming being. The temperature dropped drastically. The moisture in the air froze into shards of ice that flew like fragments of a mirror.

The sea roiled. Waves rolled and crashed with enough force to sink a royal fleet.

And from the vortex of destruction… a giant slowly leaned its body toward the surface.

Standing over four meters tall, the figure loomed like an ancient god of war descending into the mortal realm. Long, wavy, reddish-brown hair—like embers that had yet to extinguish. It wore simple, unadorned golden armor that clearly conveyed ancient dignity. But the most striking feature…

Was the creature's skin. Jet black, almost like a dense shadow taking on human form.

Its gaze was empty. No anger, no madness, no compassion. Just an emptiness that looked at the world like a bored artist gazing at a canvas that was too clean.

Lance gripped his sword tighter—Golden Dagger—and swallowed the suddenly bitter saliva in his throat. His fingers trembled slightly.

In a low voice, almost a whisper, yet each word pierced the air like a divine arrow, he said:

"King of Chaos… No…" Lance's eyes widened as he realized the true identity of the creature. "… Amatsu-Mikaboshi."

...

...

...

Amatsu-Mikaboshi is clearly not the true King of Chaos. The figure that once transformed into the King of Chaos has long returned to the side of the cosmic entity known as Oblivion—a primordial void that devours reality. In fact, this Amatsu-Mikaboshi is merely one of the infinitely numerous clones of Oblivion.

When the gods were on the brink of destruction by Amatsu-Mikaboshi, Thor, the God of Thunder, called upon the cosmic entity Eternity for assistance. However, Eternity only appeared to utter useless words before vanishing without a glance back, as if indifferent. All because Amatsu-Mikaboshi's identity was too 'special' to be handled carelessly.

Nevertheless, not all Amatsu-Mikaboshi are that powerful. Except for the one that became the King of Chaos, most merely spread threats without any real results. Although Amatsu-Mikaboshi is among the most feared Japanese gods, his history is not entirely glorious.

At one point, Amatsu-Mikaboshi was banished to the underworld by the new gods of Takama-ga-hara, and was humiliated after stealing a magical sword discovered by Thor. As if that wasn't enough, Amatsu-Mikaboshi attempted to sneak attack the gods of Olympus—and was once again mercilessly beaten.

Takama-ga-hara showed no mercy. Beaten, banished, chased until Amatsu-Mikaboshi had no choice but to flee to another universe, licking his wounds and grudges.

Now, has Amatsu-Mikaboshi still not left Earth?

Amatsu-Mikaboshi stared at Lance with a cold gaze, his eyes like two dark lakes that reflected no light. "You... a Japanese sorcerer?"

"No," Lance replied calmly. "I'm Chinese."

"Oh?" Amatsu-Mikaboshi grinned. A faint aroma of blood spread from his body. "A Chinese sorcerer can speak my name. I thought the world had forgotten me long ago."

"I come from Kamar-Taj," Lance said, maintaining a steady gaze. "I'm not surprised to know the secrets of the gods."

"A disciple of the Ancient One?" Amatsu-Mikaboshi squinted.

"Yes." Lance answered shortly.

Before his voice fully faded, Amatsu-Mikaboshi had already stepped onto the waves and lunged forward. Amatsu-Mikaboshi's large hand swung from the sky, covering like the shadow of a giant storm cloud about to grasp the world.

"A disciple of the Sorcerer Supreme... should die faster!" Amatsu-Mikaboshi shouted.

Lance spun quickly, and his sword rose in a sharp arc, slashing upward to block the giant hand.

BOOM!

A tremendous impact echoed, and the immense force pushed Amatsu-Mikaboshi back, sending him flying and crashing into the mountainside a hundred meters away.

"Unfortunately..." Lance leaped into the empty air, his body shooting forward like a flash of light, "... that's not enough to kill me!"

Lance landed right above Amatsu-Mikaboshi, his sword aimed straight at his heart. This man was indeed powerful—but Amatsu-Mikaboshi's strength was not enough to surpass Lance's endurance and magic.

Could it be that this is not Amatsu-Mikaboshi's main body, but merely a clone sent to probe?

If so... Lance could fight back!

"In the name of Ikthalon—Icy Tendrils of Ikthalon!"

His Golden Dagger descended with a biting cold light. The temperature around him approached absolute zero, and the sea air froze in an instant. A vast white glacier spread out, encasing Amatsu-Mikaboshi in a prison of ice several meters thick.

Yet with a single sweep of his hand, Amatsu-Mikaboshi shattered all the ice.

"Little sorcerer," Amatsu-Mikaboshi's voice was hoarse, grinning, "your magic is quite interesting. But that trivial cold can't even make my skin shiver."

Lance hissed softly. "Then how about I add fire?"

Where Lance began to chant a spell.

"In the name of the Seven Suns of Cinnibus, with the power of the Flames of the Faltine blazing—"

Then, Lance added his personal touch:

"Attack, Black Fire Dragon!"

Lance did not possess Evil Eyes, but he had a technique of magic manipulation that was equally formidable. Where Lance modified the spell and transformed the energy's form.

In an instant, thick black fire erupted from his palm, forming a giant howling dragon—a black fire dragon, with a glowing body blazing, soaring into the sky.

Explosion!

Like a volcano erupting, magma and embers soared into the air. The dragon tore apart the body of Amatsu-Mikaboshi, dragging it into a whirlpool of fire.
