Liana's POV
I had never been a fan of tight spaces, but this one was a tough nut to crack. My breath hitched in my throat, and no matter what I did, it just wasn't enough to dissolve the huge lump that had formed at the back of my throat. My chest tightened, and if I didn't find a way to expand my lungs soon, I was definitely going to pass out.
Kieran's scent wasn't helping matters either. It was intoxicating I know, but pressed against him without a minute's worth of space wasn't something I saw happening at all.
When I woke up this morning, I had a clear plan; avoid Kieran for as long as possible, and it seemed to have been working, until it didn't. When I hid behind the pillar, the last thing I expected was for him to spot me.
How the hell had even done that? I'd made sure I hid properly, made sure I didn't make a sound that would betray my presence and….
