(Karsten)
(Seven Months Later)
We spent the past seven months setting up our home, our baby's nursery and settling into our new life.
I had never imagined sharing a room with someone, but now I couldn't even imagine sleeping without her in my arms.
She stirred, still fast asleep, her flowery scent had me nuzzling her neck. My hands caressed her pregnant belly. It had bulged out so much in the last few months.
Our baby had grown and the doctor had given us a date of exactly one week from now. Placing a feathery kiss on her neck, I crawled down and moved over to the other side.
Picking up the hem of her nightgown I snuck my face inside and placed my lips and hands on her belly.
She shivered and her sleepy voice came, "Karsten?"
"Hey! Good morning my beautiful Blue Rose. Just waking up our baby."
We never found out the gender of our baby, keeping it a secret but the doctor told us he or she was healthy and ready to pop out.
