Beta Zander Perez - POV
The moment I reached the car, I gently laid her down in the back seat, my hands trembling as I tried to assess her condition. Aurora's breathing was shallow, and a wave of panic surged through me. "Dr. Jenkins, please!" I urged, my voice shaking. "Do something!"
Dr. Jenkins climbed in beside me, her face set with determination. "We need to stabilize her first. Aurora, can you hear me?" she called, her voice steady despite the gravity of the situation. I held Aurora's hand tightly, squeezing it as if my grip could somehow bring her back to me.
"I'm here, Aurora. I'm right here," I murmured, fighting back the tears that threatened to spill. "You're going to be okay. We'll get through this together." Every word felt like a lifeline, and I poured every ounce of hope I had into my reassurance.
