The words hit him like a blow. He froze.
For a long moment, he said nothing, his mind clearly racing, calculating, weighing his options.
Finally he nodded. "…Fine. I'll tell you everything."

His voice trembled as he began. "It started with my father… and his affair."
Olivia listened, her expression unreadable.
"My dad… he was seeing another woman. He wanted to divorce my mother for a long time."
The man swallowed hard, his throat dry. "But my mother… she found out."
A bitter, broken laugh escaped him. "And she didn't just confront him… she exposed the mistress publicly. At her workplace."
Olivia's brows furrowed slightly.
"The humiliation was too much," he continued. "The mistress… she couldn't take it."
His voice dropped to a whisper. "She killed herself."
A heavy silence followed.
"And when my father found out…" His fists clenched despite the cuffs. "He lost it. Completely."
'Revenge,' Olivia thought instantly.
