The windows rattled, then the walls of the Manor as the wind increased, and Amie rushed upstairs to get a better view of what was going on outside.
The rattling of the house muted, but she looked pale when she came downstairs.
"Things are getting bad out there. I count at least thirty active cyclones, winds hitting the house are pushing two hundred kilometres an hour, and waves are regularly reaching four metres.
They're cresting over the wall, but it's mostly vertical energy, so not too much is getting into the yard.
We can hold for now, but the weather is too bad for us to go out and reinforce the barricades again. I don't know how long this is going to last, but I put the barrier over the whole compound, to let the waves roll back out.
I'll need your help to keep it maintained."
Dominic nodded in acceptance. "That's not an issue, I'm quite good at keeping barriers going. Simple storm winds aren't an issue. I'm more interested in what is causing this.
