232 THE SON WHO KILLS HIS FATHER
Colleen's eyes narrowed. He wasn't fooled. "You think you can trick me? We will not let you take him in," as he signaled for his assassin guards.
As the assassins moved to seize Lillye, the Gullee guards surged forward to protect their master. Chaos erupted.
Minister Alem turned to Nahum, bewildered. "What in the world is happening?"
Nahum stroked his beard, a faint smile playing on his lips. "It's no longer our concern."
One of the Court's assassins darted forward, her blade gleaming in the dim light of the courtroom. She moved with lethal precision, parrying a soldier's strike before closing in on General Lillye.
To everyone's shock, Lillye stepped directly into the path of her blade. The assassin's strike was swift and true, piercing his chest.
"Argh!" Lillye cried out, clutching the wound as he crumpled to the ground. "You've killed me… I'm dead."
The room erupted into chaos. Special Administrator Colleen stared in horror. "What is happening?" he demanded, his voice trembling.
"Justice!" Leo's voice rang out, cutting through the noise. His declaration stunned the room into silence.
General Nahum turned to Leo, his face a mask of disbelief. "What are you saying?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.
Leo's eyes burned with cold determination. "This bastard, Lillye, deserves to die," he announced, his tone devoid of emotion.
Special Administrator Colleen stepped forward, his confusion was evident. "What do you mean? Explain yourself! Isn't he your father?"
A faint smirk played on Leo's lips as he approached Colleen.
"Thanks to you," he said, extending his hand, "I've become the new leader of the Gullee family. You saved me from dirtying my own hands killing that old fool who is not giving up his fucking place. He's still young how long shall I wait before I become the leader?"
Colleen hesitated as his mind raced to comprehend the situation. He misjudged Lilleo Gullee. He didn't come here to rescue his father. He came to send him off.
Without another word, Leo turned and walked away, his soldiers parting to let him pass.
Grammers barked orders to the Gullee guards. "Bring the old man's body back for the funeral. We need his corpse to show everyone our master is the new head of the Gullee family!"
The soldiers moved quickly, lifting Lillye's lifeless body and carrying it out of the courtroom.
With Lillye's death, the arrest warrant became meaningless.
The courtroom, once filled with the clamor of conflict, now stood in eerie silence, the echoes of betrayal and ambition lingering in the air.
"Lilleo Gullee would kill his own father to become the patriarch."
"He's using the Emperor's hands to kill his own father."
"An evil and heartless villain."
Colleen turned to the woman beside him, his voice barely above a whisper. "What just happened here, I'm still clueless?"
The assassin, her expression concealed by her veil and mask replied, "I don't know, but one thing is fucking certain: Lillye Gullee is dead. No one survives a strike from one of our blades."
Special Administrator Colleen stood frozen, his mind racing as the weight of what had just transpired settled over him.
"Did I… did I become that boy's tool to kill his own father?" he muttered, more to himself than anyone else. His voice was laced with disbelief and a growing sense of unease.
"We must kill him. The look of him scares me", Colleen added.
The woman beside him, her sharp eyes narrowing, turned to him with a look of disdain.
"Idiot are you still afraid of him because of last time in the garden?" she snapped, her tone cutting through his daze. "Our plan is not to kill Lilleo Gullee."
Colleen's jaw tightened as her words sank in. "Our initial plan was to provoke the Gullee army into rebellion against the city to save Lillye Gullee," he said, his voice low and frustrated. "We wanted the city's forces to clash with them, weakening both sides. But now… that plan is in shambles."
The woman's expression remained cold and calculating. She crossed her arms, her gaze fixed on the chaos unfolding around them.
"Then we proceed with the next plan," she said simply, her tone leaving no room for argument.
Colleen hesitated, his mind still reeling from the unexpected turn of events.
"What about Lilleo Gullee?" Colleen asked.
The woman shot him a fearful eye. He knew better than to question her when she was angry.
"Very well," he said, his voice steadying as he grasped with the horror that they would soon unleash into Sodom city.
"Soon you shall face my wrath again," she murmured.

[The Gullee Family Home]
The Gullee family home, once a bustling hub of activity and opportunists, now stood eerily empty. The leeches who had clung to the family's wealth had vanished overnight, fleeing at the news of Lillye Gullee's arrest.
Fear of being implicated in his alleged crimes had driven many of them away, leaving the grand estate silent and desolate.
Lillye's body was brought back to the family home, his lifeless form laid unceremoniously under a heap of straw in the courtyard. The sight was a stark contrast to the man who had once commanded respect in the family- its Patriarch.
"Let me see my brother one last time!" Lillann's voice broke through the heavy silence, raw with grief. He tried to push past the guards, but they held him back firmly.
Unlike the others in the family, Lillann shared a genuine bond with Lillye. His tears were real, his anguish palpable.
"Burn the body," Leo commanded, his voice cold and unyielding.
The guards obeyed without hesitation, setting the straw ablaze. Flames roared to life, consuming the pile and reducing Lillye's remains to ash and charred fragments.
"Why won't you let me see him one last time?" Lillann screamed, his voice trembling with a mix of sorrow and fury.
Normally, he would never dare defy Leo, but the shock of his brother's death had stripped away his fear. "He was your father! How can you be so heartless?"
Leo turned to face Lillann, his expression unreadable. "If you want to see him so badly," he said, his voice dripping with menace, "I'll take you to him."
With a nod to his soldiers, they seized Lillann and dragged him away.
