Chapter 29 - CHAPTER 29

The scene shifts. We now see Rudra and his team traveling in a jeep, passing through rugged mountains and near train tracks. Rudra's mind was clouded with strange thoughts—he had a gut feeling that something terrible was about to happen.

Suddenly, a vehicle behind them exploded without warning. The shock was intense. Rudra and his teammates immediately tried to activate their powers. A strange energy surged through them, but something was wrong—they were struggling. Their powers weren't responding properly.

Still, they pushed through. Somehow, they managed to activate their abilities just enough to protect themselves and barely escape the blast.

But that was only the beginning.

Out of nowhere, they were confronted by the American Special Assassin Unit—an elite team sent specifically to eliminate them. These operatives showed no emotion, no hesitation. Their demeanor was so calm, it felt as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened.

Without warning, Nell, one of the assassins, fired a bullet straight at Rudra.

Rudra instinctively tried to activate his powers to shield himself, but it was no use. His powers were too weak to stop the bullet. In that terrifying moment—staring death in the face—Rudra felt all hope drain from him. He gave up.

But just then, Kim leapt in front of him.

To protect Rudra, Kim fired a counter-shot. The bullets collided mid-air, creating a powerful gust of energy that blew through the space between them. The force of the collision knocked Kim back, but he looked straight at Rudra and shouted:

> "How shameful! You're our captain, aren't you? If you give up so easily, how is this team supposed to stand strong? You're not worthy of our trust. You're weak—unable to protect yourself, let alone protect others. You're just one of those people who, when given a little bit of power, only makes empty speeches and false promises!"

Her words stung. They struck Rudra deep in his heart. And in that moment, he remembered… until now, all he had done was talk. He hadn't yet taken any action that would truly make him deserving of being called captain. He wasn't strong enough. He wasn't capable enough. Even he could be replaced.

A weak smile crossed Rudra's face as he looked up.

"You're right," he said quietly. "Until now, I haven't done anything to prove I deserve to be your captain."

Then, with a determined smile, he added:

"But from now on... I'll take control. Leave the battlefield to me."
