"She sounds formidable," Ella said. Alexander only smiled in response. "If we use the information, will it affect any of your plans?" Ella asked.
"My plans?" Alexander repeated, smiling.
"You know... they are a rival family to y..." She stopped herself, her cheeks warming. "To ours."
"Exactly. Ours." Alexander's smile widened. "Your aunt's troubles also becomes a part of ours. If George's mistress manages to take her company from her, that would be embarrassing." He leaned back slightly. "Besides, the plan has always been to use the information to create some internal chaos for the Jerkins."
"Thank you, Alex." Ella's expression softened. "Although, in that life, the company was still my aunt's till after my 25th. But I'm assuming her need for my shares meant she was already losing control of it." She bit her lower lip. "And with Dad being sick now, it proves that some unanticipated things can happen, and I don't want to take any risk."
