Kael's POV
Asking Aria to come with him was an unplanned decision he had made last minute. He hadn't meant to drag her into such a dangerous situation. Which disturbed Kael greatly.
He wasn't one to make rash decisions, he was always calm and calculating. Every decision he made was planned to the last detail with no room for mistakes. But when it came to Aria, logic didn't apply.
He wasn't thinking clearly, the kiss with Aria had muddled his ability to think clearly. He was hardly having enough sleep, Aria's terrified gaze haunting him as she pushed him away from her. Only in this dream he didn't snap out of it, he didn't stop. Her screams were the last thing he hears before being jolted awake.
As much as Kael hated to admit, he needed to see Aria. He needed to know that she was safe. From those that wanted to harm her and….himself.
