Even Qian Daoliu admitted that the Silvermoon Wolves were one of the more powerful breeds of the Spirit Beasts, and they were indeed very suitable Battle Pet Companions for his granddaughter.
Not to mention, he could see that little Renxue was delighted beyond the moon from the little cub as she was cuddling it closely. The tiny wolf cub looked irresistibly cute and cuddly for the young bearer of the Seraphim Martial Soul.
"This is Fenrir, Grandpa! He is still small, but when he grows, he will be strong enough to devour the world!"
She excitedly showed her grandpa, the small wolf cub who, upon being shown to someone new, showed his teeth to the Grand Worship Elder of the Spirit Hall. It seemed that the little Silvermoon Wolf had, indeed, a lot of courage to share.
Because Qian Daoliu seemed to be a rather ordinary person without even a single shred of the Spirit Energy on him to the senses of the Silvermoon Wolf, the little wolf cub was rather daring because he considered Qian Daoliu rather an average human without being the Spirit Master.
"I am really sure of that, Xue'er. Why don't you take your little wolf to tour the Palace while I have a talk with Tiandi?"
Seeing that his granddaughter was so happy, he sent her on a tour through the Palace as he needed to talk with Tiandi about the situation with the following military actions against the Moonlight Principality and Stormland Dukedom.
Qian Renxue shrugged her shoulders and took the little Fenrir, who was still in her arms, on a tour through the Douluo Consecration Hall. She knew that Tiandi had important talks with her grandpa, and that was rather boring for her.
It was not like she was interested in that; she happily strode away from Qian Daoliu's cultivation chambers and went to show everything to the cub of the Silvermoon Wolf, Fenrir.
"So, how was your trip? Did you get everything done?"
Qian Daoliu knew that Hun Tiandi went to the Celestial Trade Chamber of Commerce to make some preparations for the incoming military conflict. Hun Tiandi wanted to use various tactics to weaken their opponents before the real conflict even started, to lower their casualties.
Even though the Spirit Hall was powerful, their numbers were rather low compared to the different factions in the world, especially when it was matched together with their ambitions, so Hun Tiandi wanted to employ tactics to lower their casualties as much as possible.
"Yes. The Celestial Trade Chamber of Commerce will prepare the cover and transportation of our people into the territories of the Moonlight Principality and Stormland Dukedom. Additionally, we can expect them to carry out the cover operations in this aspect. With the involvement of the Celestial Trade Chamber of Commerce, we can expect sabotage and subterfuge and thus lower the combat capabilities of the two main opponents by a great degree..."
The preparations of the Celestial Trade Chamber of Commerce were one of the most important players in the future invasion of the parts of the Chaotic Lands. Hun Tiandi was entrusted with the highest responsibility, which was to lead the forces of the Knights Templar against the several factions in the Chaotic Lands.
This was a huge honor for him, but at the same time, it was also a huge responsibility and something that he knew would need to be carried out perfectly. Failure was not an option in this matter, and nothing other than success was allowed.
"Hmm... that seems to be doable. The forces of the Knights Templar are being gathered as we speak, right, and now we are preparing for the lightning strike decapitation operation."
Qian Daoliu personally oversaw the establishment of the Knights Templar, along with the Supreme Pontiff Bibi Dong. Because the Spirit Hall had many military branches established, and thus, the integration was very smooth as they were speaking right now.
The Knights Templar were supposed to be the main military arm of the entire Spirit Hall in the future. Thus, Qian Daoliu took the establishment as something of crucial importance to the Spirit Hall in the long run.
The old man could be very meticulous when he wanted to be; it was no wonder that he was considered the best Supreme Pontiff of the Spirit Hall in the past few hundred years. During his leadership of the Spirit Hall, the Spirit Hall recorded unprecedented growth in their capabilities, and the development was never smoother.
This was surpassed only by Bibi Dong's tenure as the Supreme Pontiff, mainly due to the Hun Tiandi's intervention and innovations to the Spirit Hall.
"When will the operation start?"
Hun Tiandi asked because the time for the operation to start was already pretty close. The military moves against the group of rebellious factions, and it would be the start of the great changes to the Douluo Continent for the first time in a few thousand years.
The Douluo Continent's state hasn't changed over the past few thousand years... aside from the rise of the Great Empires of the Star Luo Empire and Heaven Dou Empire, the politics of the Douluo Continent and the state of its factions remained the same.
The state of the Spirit Hall remained the same.
Nobles, Clans, Dukedoms, Principalities, Kingdoms, and Empires were often clashing with each other, and countless wars were led for the sake of resources and territory, with a few powerful factions remaining as the spectators to everything that was happening around the world.
What the Spirit Hall would start would inevitably step into history as the great unification of the Douluo. Something that was the long-term goal of the Spirit Hall but would be realized only in this generation due to the machinations of Hun Tiandi and the ambitions of Bibi Dong.
It was rather a piece of luck that the Spirit Hall had so ambitious a Supreme Pontiff, far more ambitious than any other Supreme Pontiff before her.
Qian Daoliu knew that Bibi Dong was really too ambitious, and even though the unification of the Douluo Continent was the aim of the Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong was actually the one pushing for it.
The other Supreme Pontiffs of the Spirit Hall were not that ambitious, and they typically went for the more subtle approach and not for the all-out approach that Bibi Dong had chosen for the Spirit Hall.
Bibi Dong was someone who really wanted to see the Douluo Continent unified under the banner of the Spirit Hall during her lifetime. She was doing everything in her power to achieve that, including supporting all of Hun Tiandi's ideas and plans.
And it seemed that the approach that she had chosen was really paying off. The Spirit Hall was gaining so many things that it made the previous gains during the past generations rather inconsequential.
"In the three months. We need to catch them off guard and attack faster than they could realize what is happening. I will be authorizing several Titled Douluos to accompany the Knights Templars on the missions because we have some disturbing information that there may or may not be some Titled Douluos supporting the Moonlight Principality and even the Stormland Dukedom, but nothing is confirmed."
Qian Daoliu intended to send a few Titled Douluos from the Supreme Pontiff Palace and one Worship Elder to accompany Hun Tiandi for the mission. Hun Tiandi was too important for the Spirit Hall to let him go on such a mission without protection from the Titled Douluos.
At the same time, there was the fact that their targets may have the support of the Titled Douluos, which may sound outlandish, but it wasn't actually that impossible.
Qian Daoliu knew that the chances of the Titled Douluos there were low, and it was even lower that they were someone cultivated by the Moonlight Principality and Stormland Dukedom, but the chances of them being independent Titled Douluos were actually pretty high.
The factions without the Titled Douluos actually had the highest chance of recruitment for the Titled Douluos, which were actually pretty high. One would think that it was the opposite because many would think that these factions had a lower amount of resources.
While that may be the truth, the desperate state of these factions typically resulted in a situation where the independent Titled Douluos could ask for almost anything that they wanted, and they would also get it.
"That seems to be doable. Will I be getting some experienced commanders on the battlefield? I am not really that well-versed in these military matters."
Qian Daoliu nodded because he planned to send a few people who were experienced in military matters and warfare to support Hun Tiandi and lead the Knights Templar on the battlefield.
Hun Tiandi welcomed this because he knew that the military command was something that he had almost no idea about, as such a thing rarely existed in the Dou Qi Continent, where the individual power of the Dou Practitioners at the high realms was so high that it made any similar matters rather useless.
"Excellent."
Hearing that he would have experienced military commanders under him made him breathe easier, as that would solve the most problematic aspects of the command.
"Also, before the start of the operation, you should reach the Spirit King rank. We have already chosen the suitable Spirit Beasts to become your Spirit Rings, because we plan to announce you as the Holy Son of the Spirit Hall after the end of the conquest."
Indeed, that would be a grand announcement of the prestige of the Spirit Hall. Not only would they be announcing the first territorial expansion of the Spirit Hall for the first time in a few thousand years, but at the same time, they would announce the new Holy Son of the Spirit Hall.
This would tremendously boost up Hun Tiandi's prestige in the long run, and the Spirit Hall would be seen on the rise. This, in turn, could and would be used to recruit and attract even more Spirit Masters to the Spirit Hall, especially the high-ranking independent Spirit Masters that were now without any affiliation.
"I am already planning on that. Right now, I feel that it won't be long for me to reach the Spirit Rank 49 from the Spirit Rank 45."
Reaching the Spirit King Realm would be a milestone for him, and choosing the 5th Spirit Ring was always a problem for Hun Tiandi due to the compatibility between him and the other Spirit Skills that he possessed.
Now that he finally had the suitable Spirit Beast for the Spirit Ring for him to the Spirit Rank 50, he was rather delighted because he could reach the Spirit Rank 50 and become a Spirit Rink in one swoop.
With the help of Alchemy and pills, it was a piece of cake.
"Good, good."
Qian Daoliu was satisfied with the growth of the future Holy Son of the Spirit Hall, because the more powerful Hun Tiandi became, the better it was for the Spirit Hall and their goals in the long term.
At the same time, the faster he became Titled Douluo, the better his chances of ascending to Godhood. It was commonly accepted that the best chance for people to ascend to Godhood was to reach Titled Douluo as young as possible.
This obviously required a lot of talent, like a really lot of talent, and also a tremendous amount of resources to cultivate someone young to the Titled Douluo because most of the people that reached the Titled Douluo were relatively older.
"You should also check with the Knights Templar and observe their training and fighting methods to acclimatize to them. Even though on the battlefield you would be responsible for only confirming orders and deciding on the next priorities, it would be good for you to become familiar with the battle methods and the basics of warfare."
Hearing the words of the Grand Worship Elder, Hun Tiandi made a mental note to pay him a visit to the training of the Knights Templar from time to time, so he could observe them and know what to expect.
"I will stop there... do you have anyone in mind for the position of the Grandmaster of Knights Templar? Even though we previously talked about me heading them at least temporarily, I don't think that I am suitable for the position."
Hun Tiandi never wanted the leadership of the Knights Templar, as he wasn't a military person, nor did he want the position itself. Even though he admitted that he strove for the formalized position within the Spirit Hall aside from the title of Holy Son, or rather, during the time he was Holy Son, leading the Knights Templar wasn't anything for him.
In fact, Hun Tiandi aimed for a different position altogether, which was the position of the Director of the Burial Agency or something like that.
The Burial Agency would be the military arm of the Spirit Hall.
The only thing the Spirit Hall lacked was the appropriate Titled Douluos, who would take the leadership roles for the posts of Director of the entire Burtial Angecy and the leading Tianzuns of the Knights Templar, Holy Inquisition, and Assembly of the Eighth Sacrament.
However, once again, Bibi Dong and Qian Daoliu decided to remove the concept of the Tianzuns from the Knights Templar, Holy Inquisition, and Assembly of the Eighth Sacrament and replace it with more traditional titles that were less confusing.
The Knights Templar would be led by the Hierarch, the Holy Inquisition would be headed by the Lord Inquisitor, and the Assembly of the Eighth Sacrament would be led by the High Adjudicator.
"Yes, we have. His name is Wu Zhangkong a prodigious swordsman and master of the way of sword. He has Skyfrost Sword Martial Soul, one of the top-tier Tool-Type Martial Souls. The only problem is that he is too engrossed in training his swordsmanship and doesn't really care about joining any faction, though he has a good relationship with the Spirit Hall due to his fianceé Long Bing, who is a researcher at the Spirit Hall. If you could convince him to become the Grandmaster of the Knights Templar, then after he reached Titled Douluo, he could be appointed straight away."
Hearing Qian Daoliu's words made Hun Tiandi nod in agreement as Wu Zhangkong seemed like a good candidate for the position of the Grandmaster of the Knights Templar.
"Grandpa Qian, I would like to propose another new addition to the Spirit Hall's forces and structure, albeit this time, it would be a very small organization and would mainly consist of the people whom I cultivate personally in the Art of the Soul Cultivation and Soul Skills."
Hun Tiandi said as Qian Daoliu raised his brows because the Burial Agency had not even been properly established with all positions filled, and the brat in front of him was already dreaming about creating something else.
However, he could deny the effect because, under Hun Tiandi's ideas and proposals, the Spirit Hall's power has increased more than tenfold during the past years, and it will grow even more in the near future.
Not to mention, these people would be trained by him personally with the usage of Soul Cultivation and Soul Skills; he knew firsthand how powerful it was because now all of the Titled Douluos were required to devote some time to the Soul Cultivation to increase their Spiritual Realm.
"Well... I am listneing."
He decided to give this the benefit of the doubt, though he could see that this would be a more costly endeavor, because this time, it wasn't about reorganizing and improving the already existing forces of the Spirit Hall.
But this time, it was about cultivating an entirely new force of the Spirit Hall from scratch, which was a very long-term investment into the Spirit Hall. Though with the wealth that was now being generated by Spirit Hall, together with the Celestial Trade Chamber of Commerce that was operating under Spirit Hall, it wasn't a serious matter.
"With the increase of the Soul Cultivation and Soul Skills, there is another very important aspect that we need to take into consideration. The Souls."
Hun Tiandi made an almost dramatic pause as Qian Daoliu waited for him to continue.
"When a Spirit Master cultivates his Soul Skills to a certain degree, they can execute the Soul Catching Skill and catch his very own Soul of the deceased Spirit Master. Now, once this Soul is in their possession, it could have various uses, either to increase the Spiritual Cultivation itself or to use a very Special Soul Skill when a person could refine the Soul itself and increase their own talent, essentially breaking through the innate barriers that are holding the Spirit Master back. And the best thing is that this is entirely without any side effects like the Evil Soul Masters suffer... nothing."
The more Hun Tiandi spoke, the more serious it became because while the usage of the Spirit Master's Soul seemed like something that the Evil Spirit Masters would do, it was without the entire process and problems that came with it.
"And the limitations?"
Qian Daoliu slowly asked because it was clear that it seemed like an evil thing to do; he also knew that sometimes evil things were necessary to maintain control.
"Talent. Basically, if you have Titled Douluo using the Soul of someone who could maximally reach the Soul Douluo or Spirit Saint Realms, then the effect would be zero. You need to use Souls that are of a higher quality than your own. Using numbers to make up for the lack of quality won't work because the ordinary Soul is still an ordinary Soul and doesn't have the special properties that they need to have Soul Skills and Soul Rituals."
Hun Tiandi explained how the particular Soul Skills and Soul Rituals that involved the usage of the Souls worked and everything around them. Even Qian Daoliu was rather impressed, and even though it was a dangerous game...
"This would need to be kept in absolute secrecy."
Qian Daoliu was old, and he saw a lot. He knew that there were, are, and would be many geniuses that wouldn't join the Spirit Hall or even outright act against them that would need to be eliminated.
For that, Hun Tiandi's strike force would be perfect because not only would they be able to eliminate thorns from their side, but at the same time, they would be able to steal the talent of the mentioned genius.
