After her conversation with her father, Sera excused herself, intending to pay Cedrick a visit on his cell. She was curious how he was holding up or if the torments he suffered from the previous days were enough to break his will. She believed traitors like him deserved the maximum punishment one could receive, except for death.
She had thought she would have a hard time convincing her father to go along with her plan. Fortunately, having the penitent crows going after her was enough reason for the duke to change his mind towards Cedrick.
Sera strolled through the hallway at a leisurely pace, humming quietly to herself when she sensed Rowan appearing before her. Her expression immediately turned into a scowl as she looked at him. Hadn't she noticed she'd been trying her best to ignore him?
