"I honestly still can't believe this," Anna chirps as she helps me secure the bandages on my back. Thanks to Roger, the wounds are slowly healing, though after that traumatic experience at the funeral, I'd still rather have something to separate my skin from my clothes.
"You, the Luna of this pack," Anna continues, gasping dramatically, "and me, your personal maid! Honestly, what kind of fairytale is this?"
I smile, but don't say anything. When I asked Ronan about appointing my own maid, my only choice was obviously Anna. I didn't choose her because she was my only friend; there was another reason, too,––I needed someone I could trust. That fiasco in Selene's art studio taught me that for good.
Still, though Anna is the only person I can let close to me, I do not trust her one hundred percent just yet. And because of that, I need to do something that will make her eternally grateful to me; something that will make the question of doubt disappear completely.
