"Get aside." Sin pushed the two heads apart with one hand each, then looked at Shu. "You helped Seele just now?"
These two idiots must have seen something to recognize this guy as the legendary Shu. Sin thought for a moment. It seemed only the distribution of food was a bit off.
Taking this opportunity, Sin began to truly size up Shu.
Was this guy really that powerful? He didn't have three heads and six arms.
Shu nodded. He seemed to have felt an offensive gaze just now, but it might have been his imagination.
"Sin..." Seele trotted over to Sin and whispered what had just happened. Sin's expression changed. She glanced at Seele, then nonchalantly walked to the dining table, picked up a piece of toast, and took a bite.
After chewing for a couple of bites and swallowing, Sin's expression finally improved.
"Thanks," she said, then turned to Rozaliya and Liliya. "You two go tell the others to come eat. Remind them we have guests today, and tell them to make themselves presentable for me!"
"Mission accomplished!" Rozaliya snapped to attention and then marched off with a goose step, a sight that made Sin almost want to kick her.
Sin turned to greet the others and have them sit down, while also sitting down in the seat where she had taken the food.
"Bronya, what are you here for?" Sin asked after quickly finishing all the food in her hand.
Bronya's expression became serious. "The Bronya wants to take everyone in the orphanage and leave this place, to go to the MOTH's headquarters."
"Tch... I knew it," Sin clicked her tongue in annoyance. "How are you going to take us away? With that train of yours?"
Bronya paused for a moment. "Yes... Sin, how did you know we came by train?"
"Your MOTH broadcasts are on all day, introducing you to us, as if they're afraid we don't know who you are," Sin rolled her eyes and shrugged helplessly.
"What, don't tell me you didn't know about this yourself, Silver Wolf of the Urals?"
Bronya looked at Shu, Shu looked at Mei, Mei looked at Kiana, and Kiana looked left at Sirin, felt something was wrong, then looked right at Frélle, still felt something was wrong, and could only stare blankly ahead.
They really didn't know about this...
Suddenly, Bronya felt a little guilty.
"We will indeed use the train to take you back. With Shu here, we won't be in any danger," Bronya assured Sin.
Sin glanced at Shu. The live broadcast of him facing the Herrscher flashed through her mind, and then she nodded.
There was no denying this guy's power. It was unimaginably strong. If even he was helpless, then Sin couldn't think of anyone who could solve the problem.
But the core of the problem was...
"Why should we go with you?" Sin asked with a cold face, crossing her legs and looking at Bronya.
Bronya's expression changed slightly. "Sin, the base has more complete facilities, more people, and ample weapons and equipment. After we go back, Shu won't easily leave the base again."
"It will only be safer there than here, with more abundant supplies, and there's even a school being established. Everyone will have better development."
"Is that so?" Sin nodded in strong agreement. She believed what Bronya said, and from those live broadcasts, it was clear that the MOTH's equipment was very sophisticated and specifically targeted at this disaster.
Rationally speaking, Sin was very inclined to go to the MOTH's base.
But...
"Convincing me is useless," Sin said, hearing the sounds of conversation and footsteps outside the dining room. She decisively ended the topic. "You have to convince Mother Cocolia."
Bronya breathed a small sigh of relief. At least Sin had relented. As long as they convinced Mother Cocolia, everyone could get on the train...
Kiana listened to their conversation with a slight frown. She felt that things weren't that simple.
But it was just a gut feeling. If you asked her to explain, she couldn't say why, only that something felt off.
Rozaliya and Liliya came in with a group of children. The fourteen-year-old Sin and Bronya were truly the big sisters here.
From twelve to eight years old, a total of over fifty children came in. It didn't seem like as many as in Natasha's "Nest," but...
The empty long tables showed what this place had once been like.
Shu and the others stood out like giants at the dining table. Every child who came in first looked at Shu, their eyes full of curiosity and inquiry.
Rozaliya and the others must have said something to these children.
"What are you looking at?! Is there something to see? All of you, just eat properly!" Sin took her feet off the stool, slammed her hand on the table, and the chattering voices immediately quieted down. Everyone obediently found a seat and started eating breakfast.
Sin quickly counted the number of people, then spoke to Bronya. "Mother Cocolia will probably be back the day after tomorrow. Are you going to stay here, or go back to your train?"
"Let's stay here," Shu said after some thought. Considering the Herrscher whose whereabouts were unknown, he decided it was safer to be near these children.
Although it would only take him a few seconds to get here from the train, the Herrscher's speed... Shu felt that those few seconds might be a bit too generous for it.
"Fine. There are plenty of empty rooms here anyway. I'll go get a couple ready for you," Sin said, getting up from her chair and heading out of the dining room.
"Thanks," Shu said simply, and then said no more.
He was afraid that if he said anything else, his voice might crack.
He turned to look at Bronya. Even without his empathic abilities, he could feel a heavy sense of oppression enveloping her.
Bronya looked at the familiar faces, quickly taking a mental inventory.
One familiar name after another was crossed off in Bronya's heart, like knives carving into it.
Even hard jade couldn't withstand such carving, let alone a human heart.
Shu took a deep breath and closed his slightly reddened eyes.
This was the first time Shu had felt such deep emotions from Bronya, and he hoped it would be the last.
On the side, Kiana was already talking to Seele.
"Seele, what did they say on that broadcast?" she asked in a low voice.
Seele thought for a moment.
"It seems... they've said everything..."
