Third-person POV
As the evening sets in, Maximilian was in a Japanese-style veranda in the main house when the RLC priest, accompanied by two concerned and serious royal guards, relayed his account on the plot of the DT at the tavern-style izakaya in the city. For Maximilian, it was a constant pest he and his predecessors had to deal with many times over. Bombing incidents by the DT is the norm in the DT's crime list.
However, Basilio and Sato happened to walk by and overheard their conversation. "Dark Trades…" Sato's teeth tightened in resentment.
"Dark who?" Basilio replied.
"An organization of smuggling and terror…" responded Sato, "…they stole and smuggled Otherworlder tech to the Ravelli Territory and caused terror here in Falleta."
Basilio was shocked and horrified: a shady organization that was a partner of the Demon Queen and her domain.
So, the pair walked to Maximilian and the priest, inquiring for the plan by the DT. "Yes," the young priest responded while clutching his Japanese Buddhist-stye prayer beads, "they have another plan of terror by tomorrow morning, 9 a.m., and in the Light Plains Shopping and Residential Area and the Fern-Tani Station. They will bomb the area of 3 buildings and loot the stores."
"Oh, flip, you gotta be kidding me." Basilio was mildly annoyed by it.
And then, Alexis and his Vamzoms squad saw the commotion. Hearing the words of the DT plot using his Vamzom-enhanced hearing, Alexis came forward and relayed his accounts of the plot in that district in Ishidzu.
Because of that, all of them and the rest of the group on Basilio's side gathered around to make a counterattack plan against Samusa and his DT squad. "Let's empty the area," Lyam said to them. "Make sure no one was on the site."
"I'll distribute the warning tracts of the DT plot," Maximilian replied with a nod.
"I'll call in the soldiers and city guards to stop the squad," Sato added, "I'll make sure they also have guns just in case the DT terror group fired back with guns."
Basilio and his side, however, have other ideas. "Guys," Basilio said to them, "I think I want to make a disorienting surprise on these guys."
"What's your suggestion?" Katsuko asked back.
"Instead of explosives," replied Basilio while tapping on his chin for a few moments, "we can transmute the gunpowder into confetti. The sound should be that of a balloon."
Maximilian, Sato, Lyam, and the priest were surprised at his clever plan.
"Theoretically," Basilio responded, "when they were disoriented, the Ishidzu guards would close in with blades and guns. They will open fire just in case the DT squad fired back with guns, too."
Writing down the suggestions, Lyam said, "Okay, that would be good. One of my subordinates had a transmutation magical ability to do the job. He can sneak in where the DT squad was staying for the night and secretly have the gunpowder of their explosives changed into confetti.
Katsuko was clutching his stomach on how funny it would be. "Oh, I can see their faces when the gunpowder is now confetti!"
And so, with that subordinate of Lyam being sent over to an inn (provided by Falleta's intelligence department) where Samusa and his squad are sleeping for the night to deliver the secret transmutation move, the plan was set for 9 a.m. tomorrow evening.
