Chapter 753 - Chapter 750: Reverse Overclocking

"Your Majesty, you, you came out of that halo? And what even is the halo?"Seeing Da Hei and Dany, Big Bear let out a sigh of relief, but his doubts still spilled from his mouth.

"We will talk about it later. We need to leave this place first!"Dany's expression was grim. Splitting her attention, she kept every sense fully alert, wary of R'hllor possibly appearing at any moment, while urging Da Hei to quickly open another portal.

They were less than five kilometers from the Sanctuary of Oros. The terrifying volcanic fire force pressed down like a shoe sole on a snail's shell.

Dany felt that she and the others were that snail desperately running for its life. The stench of dog dung stuck to the shoe sole was already reaching her nose. There was no more time. The next moment, the sole might drop with a wet crunch.

"Da Hei, portal, east, maximum range!"Her voice was already warping.

"Roar!"Da Hei roared savagely. The nine-colored vortex in his consciousness spun at full speed. His thick neck made a swallowing motion and his mouth opened wide.

"Whoosh!"A mosaic-patterned fireball crystal the size of a basketball shot out and landed thirty meters ahead. Without the spatial solidification of a magic tower, the crystal rapidly swelled into a mirror thirty meters across.

Da Hei didn't slow down and lunged straight into it.

"Stay with me, hurry!"Leaving those words behind, Dany slipped through the mirror in a flash and emerged onto another red-brown wasteland.

Her face twisted. They had only moved roughly eight kilometers. They were just a bit over ten kilometers from the edge of Oros, nowhere near far enough to escape the Land of Long Summer.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"Xiao Lu and Xiao Bai shot through one after another, followed by three wyverns.

"Humm—pop!"The portal flickered a few times and vanished.

"Wow, did we just leave Oros? What was that door? That was amazing!"

Dany was full of worry, but her little followers, experiencing a spatial portal for the first time, shouted in excitement instead.

"Da Hei, can you manage another?"The question was pointless. She was linked to Da Hei through dragon spirit, and she herself had constructed the arcane runes forming the portal inside his sea of consciousness.

Opening space the first time inside the sanctuary's magic tower had cost too much.Right now, Da Hei only had enough soul power left to use the portal one more time.

But she couldn't let him push himself too far.

Exhausting his soul energy wouldn't kill him, but it would drive him into complete fatigue and a long sleep.

Suddenly, a searing white radiance burst across the sky behind them.In the next heartbeat, the white turned into a dark blood-red, the ground trembled, and cracking sounds rose from beneath the earth.

"What's happening—ah!"Big Bear looked back once and screamed in horror."Fire… Seven Gods, Oros—!"

Behind them, Oros was almost entirely swallowed by a mix of crimson flames, blazing white magma, and black storms.

There was no mushroom cloud.Every inch of sky and land was filled with light, fire, and roiling smoke.

"Don't look back! Tell your wyverns to fly faster!"Dany barked the order.

She knew their speed was already at its limit.

"BOOOOOM!"

Half a minute passed before the explosion reached them, a roar like a hundred million warhorses galloping at once. The earth shook, the air shook, every plant, every rock, everything in sight vibrated violently.

The shockwave would hit in the very next moment.

Suddenly, Dany's face changed drastically. She sensed it: the storm behind them was already upon them, and the shockwave carried massive fire magic, molten sparks, black smoke, and raging wind.None of those would kill them, so she wasn't concerned.

But there was another energy mixed in the blast, a force she knew all too well and feared deeply—Chaotic high-level magic particles.

Curse Fog.

The Land of Long Summer was already saturated with Curse Fog, but at low concentrations. As long as no one lived there too long, at worst they risked malformed births, not immediate death.

But if the concentration spiked this high—

Dany felt that the high-energy burst would injure her and Da Hei badly, but they would survive.

Xiao Lu and Xiao Bai would have their scales, wings, and eyes scorched—just like Valyrian dragons caught in high-radiation magic during the Doom.

Xiao Lu and Xiao Bai might barely endure. The three other wyverns had almost no chance.

Dany regretted her choices. If she had known, she never would have let them follow.

Then again, that was hindsight. She had only wanted to destroy Jaime's magic tower on her way to Westeros. She never imagined the consequences would turn into this disaster.

"Da Hei, prepare for overclock fusion."With a quiet sigh, Dany decided to use her trump card.

Her primary soul plunged into the nine-colored vortex of her consciousness. A heartbeat later, the vortex sank into Da Hei's mental sea.

Beside Da Hei's nine-colored vortex, hers looked like a tiny kettle beside a water tower.

But when the little kettle merged seamlessly into the giant reservoir, Da Hei's dark red slit pupils exploded into blood-red flame, and a membrane of glowing red magic rippled across his body.

From afar, Da Hei looked like a streak of light, dragging a fiery red tail like a tracer round.

The most immediate change came from flight.

Da Hei had already been flying forward at maximum speed. At the instant overclocking began, he had no time to slow down and instinctively kept his output at full power.

He suddenly lunged forward like a rocket. His tail and fleshy wings dragged long crimson trails through the air, then he broke the sound barrier.

With a thunderous boom, a ring of milky-white shockwaves spread around the dragon. Twenty meters below, the red-brown wasteland was carved by the airflow into a trench half a meter deep.

The surging air and the piercing sonic boom even destabilized Xiao Bai and Xiao Green behind him. Their massive bodies were tossed by the turbulent flow, flipping end over end several times in succession.

Fortunately, the winged dragons were slower and a bit farther from Da Hei. Otherwise, they would surely have plunged into the ground like aircraft that had lost control.

Dany's divine soul power plus Da Hei's endless magic.

Terrifying beyond measure.

With a low groan, in stark contrast to Da Hei's drug-like surge in momentum, Dany seemed to lose the aura of a living person in an instant. Her mental fluctuations dropped to near stillness. Her whole body trembled, her face turned deathly pale, and blood flowed from her seven orifices, especially her nostrils, which poured like an opened floodgate.

If she had not still possessed the second soul carried by the Ring of Wind, she would have collapsed and passed out long ago.

This was indeed an overclocked state, but not one fueled by Da Hei offering up his nine-colored vortex. Instead, it was reverse overclocking. Dany handed over all her magic and divine soul power, even her talent for comprehending the creative force of fire, entirely to Da Hei.

Dragon flight relied eighty percent on magic and twenty percent on aerodynamics. With the full stacking of Dany's divine soul, Da Hei instantly ascended to godlike levels and broke the sound barrier.

Previously, during a high-altitude dive, Da Hei could reach a speed of 450 kilometers per hour. Now, it had roughly doubled.

With a sharp whoosh, the black dragon did not slow down, but swiftly spat out a flame crystal that looked as though it had been blurred with mosaic.

Unaffected by air resistance, the flame crystal traced a laser-like streak through the air and landed fifty meters ahead of Da Hei, within the effective killing range of dragonfire.

A low hum sounded as a spatial gate opened instantly, and Da Hei passed through it carrying a violent shockwave.

Crashing into the other side, the sonic boom whipped up waves a hundred meters high on the sea surface. Wherever Da Hei passed, he dragged behind him a colossal white vapor trail like the body of a giant dragon.

Seeing the ocean at last, Dany, whose internal organs had been crushed by g-forces, finally let out a long breath of relief.

The next moment, Da Hei主动解除 overclocking and returned to her that nine-colored vortex, riddled with holes and dimmed of its former brilliance.

She coughed violently. As her primary soul and meditative foundation returned, Dany's complexion improved slightly, yet she still kept coughing up fragments of her internal organs.

After a few breaths of time, Xiao Green, Xiao Bai, and the three winged dragons leapt out of the spatial gate one after another.

With a thunderous crash, the instant the spatial gate closed, the shockwave from behind struck it, making the half-closed gate ripple like disturbed water.

Mixed with high-energy radiation magic, the gusts vented through the spatial rifts, emitting ghostly, wailing sounds.

However, this lasted only a fraction of a second before everything returned to calm.

If not for the obvious chaotic, high-energy magical particles lingering in the air above the sea, Dany would have thought everything just now had been an illusion.

"That was close," Dany said, still shaken.

"Ah, Your Majesty, you're injured?" Garth exclaimed.

Dany was wearing her helmet, and the visor was lowered, but her silver-white breastplate was stained with大片鲜红的血迹, great swaths of bright red blood.

"Your Majesty, are you all right? When were you hurt?"

"What happened to Oros? Who injured you?"

"You've coughed up so much blood. You probably can't go to the North anymore. You should return to Meereen and recuperate for a while."

"Yes, the few of us going will be enough."

The group of subordinates spoke all at once, full of concern.

"Take a detour. Go across the great grasslands," Dany waved her hand, offering no further explanation. She simply leaned against the dragon saddle and closed her eyes to rest.

Though their hearts were filled with worry and doubt, seeing that Da Hei had already taken the lead flying northward, they could only follow helplessly.

Dany's condition was extremely poor. The best choice was actually to turn back and recuperate for two days. After all, she was not going to the Wall to admire the northern scenery.

Investigating the movements of the Others meant she was bound to encounter powerful enemies.

But she happened to be carrying a "cooked duck" at her side, which could serve as nourishment.

As Da Hei flew through the sky, Dany's consciousness entered the space of faith, where she saw the true form of that "cooked duck."

"Blasphemy! Blasphemy! I am your ancestral god!"

The tall, silver-haired man radiating sacred golden light roared in fury and struggled with all his might, only causing the five milky-white chains binding his wrists, ankles, and neck to clatter loudly.

"I am severely wounded. I have neither the interest nor the time to waste words with you. There are two choices before you now. Either follow tradition, surrender to me, then pay a ransom and I will let you go back; or, you would rather die than submit, in which case I will immediately let you die with regrets," Dany said coldly.

Yang Dan stopped shouting and struggling. He fixed his gaze on her, or rather, observed with perception, and saw that the Dragon Queen's aura was in decline. Her soul fluctuations were weak and chaotic. She indeed looked like someone who had suffered a grievous blow.

"Hahaha, I understand now. The black dragon's teleportation range is limited. You failed to escape the great explosion. Was your physical body destroyed?" Yang Dan laughed heartily. "Your dragons must all be dead, right? Hahaha! Before you even leave the Land of Eternal Summer, my true body will find you.

Even if my true body also failed to survive the subterranean fire explosion, you will certainly not escape R'hllor's pursuit."

Dany looked at him with contempt and said calmly, "I'm sorry to disappoint you. None of us suffered casualties. Your Oros, however, was turned into a sea of fire in the catastrophe. Your direct descendant, Baleris, was annihilated, clan and all.

Your followers are completely dead.

Your true body will surely be ten times more miserable than I am.

If I were R'hllor, I would choose the softest target to crush. Yang Dan, you're finished."

Yang Dan's expression shifted repeatedly as he said bitterly, "I don't believe it. You are clearly seriously injured, even your soul is withering. That proves the black dragon's spatial teleportation did not escape the shockwave of the subterranean fire explosion."
