In the Carriage, on their way back home, Selene noticed that Blaize was distracted. She had a distant look on her face.
Selene became worried when they had been moving for minutes and Blaize was still not saying anything.
So gently, she reached out to touch Blaize. The moment, her hand came in contact with Blaize's skin, she let out a gasp.
I'm so, so, so sorry. Have you been speaking to me? Have I been ignoring you? Please pardon my manners, I got lost in my thoughts.
"It's okay, Blaize," Selene said, hurriedly hooking an arm around her friend's to assure her. "I didn't say anything because I saw you were thinking deeply about something."
A concerned look then spread across Selene's face.
Are you okay? Selene asked using her fingers to communicate.
I'm fine. She answered and then with a sigh, she added. I'm just a little worried about my mother.
