Dorianna's voice, sharp with anger, cut through the quiet of the dining room. Her grip on her sister's arm was tight, leaving Blaize no choice but to stay put.
"Are you really being friendly with the enemy's daughter?" Dorianna demanded, her gray eyes impatient as they searched Blaize's brown ones.
"Y-Yes." Blaize replied.
"What is wrong with you?" Dorianna shrieked, tightening her hold.
Blaize was initially tempted to plead with her sister, but two things stopped her: she was still upset with Dorianna, and she was running out of time.
"I- I'm st-st-still an-an-gry w-w- with y-you." With all her strength, Blaize shook her arm free. Without another word, she stood up and left the room after Zephyr.
Dorianna called after her, but Blaize ignored her, her mind racing. She hoped she could still catch up to Zephyr. But the hallway was empty. Frustrated, she turned and headed in the opposite direction hoping it led her to him.
