Liah's pov
Auntie Jane came down and headed to the kitchen. I waited for about 10 minutes but Dylan didn't come down so I decided to go help Auntie in the kitchen.
"Let me help you Auntie" I said as I entered the kitchen. She turned to me and flashed a gentle smile.
"You don't have to dear. Just go sit in the living room, I can manage here" she said
"No Auntie. Let me help you. I'm bored there anyways" I insisted.
"Oh you're such a good girl. Alright then, come help me cut the vegetables" she said with a gentle gaze.
I smiled at her and picked up the knife and started cutting the vegetables. A little while later, I noticed Dylan leaning on the kitchen door. I looked at him as if to say "why are you standing there like a bodyguard".
"Young sir, do you need anything" I heard Auntie asking him. Seems like she have noticed him too.
" Oh nothing Auntie, don't mind me" Dylan said with his gaze still fixed on me.
Ugh, what's his problem. Oh well, better ignore him.
I continued helping Auntie, ignoring him. When he noticed that no one was paying attention to him, he sighed and left the kitchen. I laughed inwardly at his childish behavior.
After about 40 minutes, dinner was ready. I helped aunty served the dishes. I took a random seat at the dining table and picked up my spoon to eat. After a spoonful, I noticed Dylan taking the seat opposite me.
I also noticed that Auntie was just standing near the table and wasn't eating with us.
"Auntie, why are you just standing there? Why aren't you eating?" I asked her.
"Oh dear, I will eat later. I'm waiting for you to finish, so I can clear the table" she said.
I felt bad hearing her words. We cooked together and now she isn't eating with us. I looked at Dylan with my lips pouted, hoping he can say something.
Dylan's pov
I watched the exchange between Liah and Auntie Jane. Liah was looking at me with a pleading expression and the way she cared about others melted my heart. Looking at her, I finally relented.
"Just sit and eat with us Auntie Jane" I said and Liah, hearing my approval immediately flashed me a sweet smile.
"Yes, young sir" Auntie Jane said and took a seat at the table.
After dinner, Liah insisted on helping Auntie with the dishes and I decided to sit at the living room to wait for her.
A little while later, she emerged from the kitchen and approached where I was sitting on the sofa.
"So we can start now right?" She asked me
"Sure" I replied.
I led her to my room. Once she entered my room, I noticed the amazed look on her face. I raised my brows at her expression with a teasing smile on my face.
"Why do you have that look on your face?" I teased her.
"What look?" She asked back and looked at me with innocent eyes making me want to tease her more.
"That look that seems to say 'I love this room'" I said as I moved closer to her making her take several steps back till her back hit the closed door. I took the opportunity to place my two hands at the door at either side of her face locking her in my arms.
"Well yeah, I like your room. So what?" She said raising her chin at me. At that moment I just want to grab her chin and kiss her mercilessly but I don't want to scare her.
"Why does it sound like you are saying you like me. Are you trying to confess to me, hmm?" I teased her further. Her pretty face turned a bright shade of red at my words and I couldn't help but feel amused. Why is she so shy?
"What rubbish are you spouting?" She said and placed her two delicate hands on my chest, attempting to push me away but what she didn't know was that she was fanning the fire in me, making it burn more. How can someone seduce another person without even knowing.
I grabbed her two hands and held them in place above her head, leaning closer to her till there was no space between us. Just as our lips we about to come in contact, I pulled away and released her.
I looked at her face that was as red as a tomato. Satisfied with her reaction to my teasing, I decided it was time to start studying.
"We can start now" I said to her with a sly grin on my face.
"You jerk" she shouted before storming past me, bumping into me briefly in the process but didn't even bother to say anything. She sat on my bed and looked at me as if to say 'what are you doing standing there? Do you want to learn while standing?'
I couldn't help the smile that came involuntarily at my face. There are two chairs in front of a round table and a sofa in my room, of all places, why my bed? Naughty thoughts started swirling in my head but I tried my best to keep them down with the only reasonable thought to take things slow.
I walked to the table, picking the books and necessary materials that will be needed and walked to the bed sitting at the edge.
"Alright let's start" she said and opened the book, placing all her focus on it.
"Ok, now....." She started. Listening to her teachings, I can tell she's a brilliant one. But the funny thing here is that I am not bad at geography at all. In fact, I have perfect grades in all subjects. I just needed some excuse to spend some quality time with her in a private place with just me and her. We could have met at another quiet and private place but the thought of having her in my bedroom alone was just so exciting.
After a while,
"Alright, that's all for today. Any questions?" she said closing the book and raising her head to look at me.
"Nope. I totally understood everything" I said smiling. She looked at me skeptical.
Just as I was about to reassure her,
"Young sir, your parents are back and looking for you" we heard Auntie Jane's voice at the door.
I looked at Liah's face as I answered "alright, I'm coming".
"Your parents? I thought they wouldn't be back until I left. Oh no, how do I face them. I'm so nervous." she said pacing around my room. I smiled at her cute worried expression.
"Why are you nervous? You know right now you are acting like my fiance about to meet my parents for the first time" I said. On hearing my words, she stopped pacing and glared furiously at me. I couldn't help but feel amused, she looked like a furious little lioness. I laughed, trying to ease her tension a bit. I walked up to her and took her small hand in my large hand, looked at her face before leading her to the door.
"Come on, let's go greet them. My parents don't bite. In fact, they are actually nice." I said trying to reassure her. But I love the fact that she is nervous about meeting my parents. It seems like I'm not the only one that have feelings for her, she might care about me too. I don't mind if she doesn't like me yet, as long as she cares, even if it's a little, she might still develop feelings for me. No, she will develop feelings for me, I will make sure of it.
