Chapter 13 - Shameless Dylan..

Liah's pov

For the past few days, Dylan and I kept on growing closer but I couldn't help but notice Sophia's cold attitude towards me. Ever since Dylan and I became friends, I noticed that I and Sophia's relationship wasn't as strong as before.

"Hey baby girl" I called out to Sophie. I just spotted her chatting with Dina our classmate. Just as my eyes met here, I noticed the fleeting look of irritation that passed her eyes before she smoothened her expression and flashed me a sweet smile.

"Hey girl, what's up" she said and walked over. Maybe I'm just imagining things. Sophie is like my sister, I shouldn't let my thoughts wander off. I hooked hands with her as we walked towards our class.

"How was your weekend? You didn't even think to check up on your baby and when I called you didn't pick up. Did I do anything wrong or were you just busy?" I couldn't help the questions. I needed to understand why she ignored me during the weekend. It had never been like this. Most times, she have always been the one to call but this time not only did she not call but she didn't also pick up when I called. I really missed her.

"Sorry about that. I was kinda hooked up with some things." I stopped in my tracks and stared at her face, I noticed a fleeting look of guilt but it vanished almost immediately, was this also my imagination?

As if she noticed my suspicions, she quickly flashed a charming smile and pecked me on my cheeks,

"Ewwww, I told you to stop doing that. It's disgusting" I exclaimed even if I loved it every time she did that.

She rolled her eyes at me and said "How can I stop that when your pretty face keeps drawing me in. I think I know your plan, you want to use your pretty face to tempt me but sorry baby girl, I can't ignore all these handsome dudes"

I laughed at her remark. We kept on bantering till we entered our class. Immediately we entered the class, my eyes landed on that handsome face that always keep my mind occupied. As if he sensed my eyes on him, he looked and smiled at me and I couldn't help but blush a little at his charming smile.

Sophie's pov

Immediately I saw Dylan's face, my stupid heart started beating fast that I thought it might break through my ribcage. My eyes were fixed on him but it hurt me so much that instead of looking at me, he just couldn't stop smiling at Liah. I noticed Liah smiling back at him before going to her seat. I pretended as if I didn't see anything and took my seat that was in front of him. I turned to him and greeted him.

"Hi Dylan" I smiled shyly at him.

"Oh, hey" he replied and turned his attention back to Liah. My heart tightened at the way he just responded casually. Why is he ignoring me like this? Am I getting ugly or is it just that I don't look attractive to him. I clenched my fists tightly as I turned back to face the teacher who just entered the class.

Liah's pov

After the class.....

"Liah, are you free this evening?" Dylan asked me. I put on a thoughtful expression as I faced him. I don't think I have anything doing this evening so yeah, I'm totally free. But why is he asking?

"Well, I guess. Is there a problem?" I asked him.

" Not really, I just noticed you are good at geography and I might be good at maths but geography always gives me a headache, I don't know if you can come over to my place and help me out a little" he said.

I looked at him dumbfounded. Did he just invite me to his house? I mean we just became friends a few days ago, isn't it a bit too early? At that moment, I noticed a sly grin on his face, he then burst out laughing.

I frowned, what's so funny?

"Sorry sorry, just that your expression just now was so funny. What are you thinking huh?" He asked still smiling.

I felt embarrassed at his question. Trying to save a little face, I tried to defend myself,

"Hmph, I wasn't thinking anything, you are the one with a twisted way of thinking." I said with my chin raised up high. I noticed his mischievous smile growing wider.

"Well baby girl, my parents will be at home so don't think you will be alone with me in the house. But don't worry, we will surely be alone in my room, just don't devour me, I'm still so innocent" he said.

I blushed furiously at his words, how can he be so shameless.

"Shameless" I muttered under my breath.

"Huh, what did you say" he asked me.

"Nothing, and yes I can come over. Just text me the address" I said to him

"I don't need to text you the address, I can come and pick you up" he said

"No no, I will come over, you don't need to pick me up" I quickly said to him. I don't want him coming over to my place, I don't want my parents seeing him and misunderstanding, it can bring up unnecessary problems.

He looked at me as if trying to figure something out but reluctantly agreed in the end.

"Fine then, will wait for you, and remember " he paused and leaned in closer to my ear and whispered "we won't be alone"

I blushed so hard that I could feel how hot my face was. He leaned back and looked at my face and smirked. I looked away from him to hide my red face a little and thankfully he stood up and went to meet Lan.

What's wrong with me, why do I blush so easily at his shameless remarks. Ughhhh

I watched as he and Lan walked out of the class but just before he walked out, he winked at me with a mischievous smile on his face. I groaned and slammed my head on his desk. How can he be so shameless.

I raised up my head just in time to catch Sophie glaring at me. I frowned at her and she flashed a smile immediately. Why do I feel as if my best friend is acting strange.
