Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 - The Dagger of Time

"Fire Release: Great Annihilation!"

Then a small steam of flames escaped his lips before turning into a sea of flames. The coverage was insane as the sand creatures rushing towards him became engulfed in flames crying out and turning to glass.

"Holy Merlin!" John nearly jumped out of his skin at the sight.

"I can feel the heat from here." Angel exclaimed.

Under their shocked gazes, they watched as the fire dispersed and the large number of sand creatures vanished. Only a couple were left, but the way they moved it became clear that they weren't unscathed by the attack. Yet, they could tell they were quickly healing themselves.

"Fire Release: Phoenix Fire Technique."

Felix followed up his large-scale attack and spat out a series of quick and small fire balls that bomb the remaining sand creatures. So the once large gathering of sand creatures were reduced to zero.

Once done, Felix dispelled the magic on himself removing Madara look. His fun was over as he happily waved up to John and Angel.

"Let's continue moving." He called out to them.

"Why didn't we just use Athena, Hermes, and Nyx to travel?" John asked as they could have just used their phoenixes to bypass the group.

"I'm sure Felix has many flying tools or weapons in that suitcase of his. Why didn't he use them?" Angel retorted.

Then John and Angel stayed silent as they knew what Felix would say. He would state where the fun was in that and it only took a couple spells to clear the way. Hence, the two jumped off the cliff and quickly met up with Felix before he began to wander.

"What kind of spells were those?" Angel asked curiously.

She wasn't an eleven year old girl who basically demanded to be taught anymore. Instead, she is a mature young adult with a curvy figure and full of womanly charm.

"Spell, no that was Ninjutsu." Felix replied.

"..." Angel just stared at him.

"Just some simple fire spells." Felix sighed. "Which reminds me, since televisions in the wizarding world are beginning to spread. I came up with a television show, so shall we make one? I will call it Naruto, a world full of ninja."

Well, technically he didn't come up with the story line, but he remembered it while playing around. So in a sense he came up with it.

"We can talk about it later. Let's just grab the dagger and leave first." John said.

"Alright, to the city." Felix cheered.

"You're going the wrong way." Angel stated.

Then in a smooth motion like a mother grabbing their child's hand so they don't wander. She locked her fingers around his and began to lead the way. Felix, glancing down at his locked hand and stared as he pretended to blush. So he quickly made a spell to censor their hands.

"What are you doing?" Angel asked, confused.

"Nothing." Felix looked away.

--

Upon entering the city, they wandered the mostly empty streets. From time to time a sand creature would appear and disappear. However, due to cloaking themselves the sand creatures were unable to detect them.

"So the dagger is ahead?" John asked.

"Should be." Felix nodded as he held his book of treasure notes.

"Then why did we enter the city if we just needed to go behind it?" Angel asked.

"I can only lock on the general location. How was I supposed to know it was in a cave behind the city?" Felix felt wronged.

After disarming a couple traps, Felix walked in with John and Angel where they reached a sand wall. This wall seemed special as the sand flowed and sparkled which made Felix know this is the Sand of Time. Yet, before this sand on a pedestal with the blade stabbed into it was the Dagger of Time.

The dagger is a short blade with a bit of curve that looked sharp and shiny as a blue hue seemed to shine on the blade. The handle however looked like an hourglass encased with two metal guards of unknown metal forming a small handguard.

"This is the dagger?" John asked.

"Should be. Now let's grab it and go." Felix said as he picked it up and tossed it into his suitcase.

The two looked blankly at him as he tossed it into his suitcase. However, then they remember that while it might be a powerful artifact to others, it is just a trinket to Felix who probably held much more dangerous weapons he made personally.
